Damnit it's so gorgeous!!!!! As of 4/29/22: This paved trail goes all the way to the river and all it needs is a bridge across to reach the university and downtown! The river has great climbing trees and at the golden hour, the dirt path through the tree grove is a scene straight out of the Shire in LOTR... Funny stop signs are on each approach to steep dips in the trial, asking cyclists to dismount and walk down and up. We didn't do that, but made sure to stay on the right side of the trail and ring our bells, flash lights, as we sped through the evening air!

beautiful park. very well maintained. bikers, joggers, walkers - all are welcome here. leashes are required for dogs, which is refreshing. i take my pups here regularly. lots of additional parking if the main lot gets too full.

Beautiful scenery and easily acceptable path along the Cumberland River. It’s fun for pets, couples, anyone needing a relaxing walk, exercise, biking, etc. And they have a couple playgrounds available for your kids.

It's very nice place to walk and enjoy the scenery. Love going here with the family. We would bring our bikes but there are a few parts that if one of the kids lost control or balance they could be falling down a very long way. So don't feel like those parts are the safest.

No. Most of the land that Greenway passes through is private property. It's also pretty dense vegetation and steep terrain (it follows the river). Long winded I know... Basically Greenway is a single linear paved trail with no secondary paths.
The trail is for mountain biking. They have signage posted that motorized bikes are not permitted.
Certain parts. It extends for miles and you'd have to find an area of the Greenway accessible to fishing.
Since there are some slopes, I don't think it is made as hcp friendly. But the parking we used has hcp spots. Trails are paved.
There are some open areas scattered along the route, but I wouldn't consider them dedicated picnic areas.
