Thank you Mabel's! Traveling with our 10 lb Terrier in Kennebunkport, and we were told Arundel Wharf Restaurant was dog friendly. Alas, after waiting in line, the staff told us they do not allow dogs. Don't believe Google or word of mouth. Enter Mabel's to save the day! Not only was their food delicious, and they allow dogs, they also brought a personal bowl of water for our pooch! I had the best fried shrimp and onion rings, and they were superb. I had my eye on the Lobster Cobb Salad, too. Will have to try that next! Always appreciated when well-behaved dogs are allowed to dine with their family, at a place that has excellent, fresh food with a great selection.

Loved the staff. And the chowder was one of the best I have tried. The Lobster was a real treat, and my husband had Fish n Chips, was good as well. Would highly recommend. And afterwards if you have a car do the drive up and see the houses and ocean view on same street.

Mabel's was our overall favorite dining experience in Kennebunkport/Kennebunk! I mean, I'd stop just for the little complimentary blueberry muffins (not pictured). We visited this establishment twice and both times had friendly, fast, and efficient service. The Duke is a MUST HAVE! Don't leave town without treating yourself to it. The sunset and lime basil mocktails were so, so good AND affordable. The blueberry pie was very tasty. The crust was amazing. (I will note I felt it was lacking a little salt, but maybe that's a personal preference) The 2nd time we went (not pictured) we had the Haddock sandwich and Linguine with shrimp added. They were both delicious, but we agree the Duke was what we would wake up craving for. Don't miss out on this perfect little joint.

First, the food was excellent, my wife had crab stuffed haddock and I had the Duke, a baked combo of lobster, haddock, shrimp and scallops in a wine sauce. Excellent! The clam chowder was good, 4 star. Blueberry pie was excellent. However, I am taking off a star for atmosphere. We made online reservations weeks ago, when we arrived they say us at a tiny table outside, they said we could not sit inside unless we had specified. Outside the floor was dirty, there was loud traffic noise, an idling truck in the lot 20 feet away was bad, this affected our experience. Also, very limited beer selection and at 6 pm, some were not available.

The food is awesome but I agree with Ed it's best to call the office for specific dates when its open.
