Great makerspace. Has a wood shop, metal shop, eletronics lab, auto bay, bicycle bay, classroom and a soft crafts shop. You can also rent private workspace when openings are available.

The Makerspace is a great resource for people who are creative and want to get things done. With a day pass or membership here, you have access to all the tools in a wood shop, metal shop, electronics lab, and automotive bay. You also join a community of makers who are often on site to help answer questions or brainstorm solutions. This represents a great value for your membership dollar. The Makerspace also offers classes to introduce you to new creative pursuits or deepen your knowledge in them. For more enterprising people, the space rents permanent work space and long term project storage space. You could build a business here without finding your own building or buying expensive tools. The energy of the people at the space is positive and infectious. Very often, you'll hear machines buzzing away and see people creating and repairing. This is a very encouraging and motivating environment to work in. Even if you have only one project to tackle, learning to use the Makerspace will increase your skills, giving you more abilities to handle future projects. And if you like to create on a regular basis for fun or profit, then the Makerspace is an essential resource to have in the community.

Port city makerspace is an amazing community resource, they have complete woodworking and metal workshops as well as an electronics workspace and tools to work on cars and bicycles and you can go in and pay a small fee to have access to all of these tools. They also have classes to teach you to build and fix all manner of things. Very much worth stopping in.

There are! We host an Intro to Wood Shop class on the last Wednesday of every month, and we host other classes from time to time like our Shaker Box Class. You can find the latest dates on our website's calendar at portcitymakerspace.com/events
