Great store and the owner, Kathy, is very nice and helpful. I'm totally new to this and she gave me a complimentary lesson. Highly recommend this place.

Stopped by while in the area, the owner was lovely. Sad to learn that she is retiring and closing her business down.

This place is just like Jo-Ann fabric stores. I am not sure which store is cheaper between the two. This place has everything I need to sew, including: fabrics, interfacing, notions, and much more! If I ever come to Maine again, I will definitely want to stop here on the way!!

Beautiful fabrics. Nice quality. Only wish they were closer. Only get to visit about once every 2 years. I would be in this shop every week if they were in Weymouth MA.

No. I didn't think we were finished.
Even though most of our customers are already vaccinated (we do have primarily older patrons), we do require masks inside. We now can have ten customers in the shop at a time. If you wish, you can call in for curbside pickup.
Sorry, we don't. Most of that type of fabric can be found at Joanns or Walmarts. Thanks for asking.
Thanks, Diane B! I actually have about 8 colors of a 60” wide cotton from Riley Blake that they call chambray. It is a little different from the typical chambray, which I have some of also. They carry knits, flannels, etc. But as I am thinking about it, those chambrays might be Art Gallery, which also make knits and rayons. Not sure as I am not reading the bolts, but I can assure you it is not a smooth broadcloth. My adult daughter wants me to copy a chambray shirt she has and make some with those fabrics. They are light and “summery”.
I am not sure what type of fabric you would like, but we have thousands of bolts of mostly top quality cotton.
We have a selection of cotton knits. Some are 100% cotton and others have a bit of lycra (4 to 8%) which I prefer myself. We have solids and prints...maybe 30 or 40 bolts only. We also have an organic cotton fleece which I like for the “drool” bibs.
If you call the shop during open hours, we have a list of folks who do that. We only refer; we do not check their credentials.
Motor maybe getting hot.
We have Kwik Sew, Burda, New Look, and many patterns from independent designers. We will soon be eliminating the Burda and New Look lines.
