Waited for over 45 minutes to check my bag this morning. Got to the front of the line (woo!) was told to get out of line so the passengers on the sooner flight could check. I stood to the side. When I asked if I should get in the back of the line, the employee could not understand my question. So I had to get back in the back of the line and start all over. Our flight was delayed for an “operational issue” aka incompetent employees moving in slow motion. Our flight attendant even said “I don’t understand the delay, this happened the last time I left this airport too.” Get it together !

For convenience Bar Harbor airport cannot be beat. Commercial flights are very limited, but available mostly to Boston. You can also bring in your private jet. Parking is free which you do not often find in a commercial airport. There are a limited number of gates and there is no jetway.

Love the convenience, free parking, and customer service. Flying into or out of BHB is always a bit of a gamble, though, due to cancellations, often weather related. On a clear day, passengers will be rewarded with incredible views of Maine's coast and islands. Don't fly to BHB if you are averse to really small planes.
