Friendly staff but frustrating experience. First, I waited in line for 30 minutes to pick up my reservation to accommodate a walk-in with a million questions ahead of me. And then, the tool (a deck sander) was unusable. I had to lug the thing home just to find this out and then return it. So half my day was shot. I got my money back but didn’t get reimbursed for the sandpaper I sacrificed to uncover the uselessness of the sander. The tool center was unreachable by phone when I had the machine and tried to call, hoping to troubleshoot. Someone did call me back when I left a message with HD customer service. HD tool rental is not an experience I will likely ever repeat. It’s too bad the machines can’t be tested in-house before they are sent out. A national chain with reported net earnings in fiscal 2021 of $16.4 billion should do better than to rent out junk.

Oh know! I had a flood and it was all way to complicated. Think about that sinking feeling as you look across a 28x 56 foot room and see the carpet floating on 4 inches of water. Home Depot's rental was there to offer a life raft. Well, actually a pump.
