Absolutely amazing, the stream flows right in front of the parking lot, the entrance was well marked, the height of of the trail was alittle challenging in some areas, had to climb over a few trees blocking the path, and ran into tons of huge spider webs on the path we had to move or get webbed face..all in all once we reached the destination of both lakes the views made the hike and drive totally worth it. My only concern was once we reached the final lake the way back into the forest was poorly marked and we ended up walking out of the woods on the path we took and down a concrete road to get back to our parking space, which there again was poorly marked in directions to take.I would advise returning the same way you came, instead of completing the rest of trail.

Very over grown. Indiana is notorious for not maintaining their trails but this is crazy. It's even worse when you're charged to get in!!

Great trail with nice scenery. Challenging hills, only saw 2 other people on the trail. Very well marked.

This is a pretty good hike. Lots of elevation change, creek crossings, and nice views of the two lakes. Walking through the pine growth is especially enjoyable. The only reason I don't give the hike five stars is because some of the hike takes place on what seems to perhaps be forest service fire access roads. I did a counter-clockwise loop and knocked the 13 miles out in just under 4 hours. Will be back.
