After being giving multiple chances to rectify their poor customer service and even worse track record of caring for and solving problems, we have decided that Richardsons is not capable of running an honest or competent business. Moose Landing has easily solved all the issues that Richardsons was unable to deal with and exhibited professionalism and proficiency. Glad we made the change.

Always happy with their service. Helpful staff in the yard during pickup and dropoff. Typical pricing compared to other boatyards.

Needed axle and hubs for trailer. Kevin was great, helpful friendly. Helped appropriate size and ordered correct parts. Accurate timeline for arrival. More expensive than ordering online but definitely got great customer service, thanks kevin, and correct parts.

This is a small, but sad story… I previously purchased a 2 HP Honda motor from Richardson's Boat Yard . Also, I have had my other Honda marine motor serviced exclusively at this facility. This summer, I brought the 2 HP in for an oil change and regular maintenance (I paid about $142 for this service). A few weeks later, (the motor was never put to use; it had only been stored in the garage), I noticed that there was oil leaking from the engine onto my garage floor. I brought back the 2HP to Richardson's Boat Yard hoping that it would be covered under warranty. Nope. The employee (Matt) was unable to help and told me that there was a serious problem and that the cost to repair the motor exceeded the value of the motor. And this is the best part of my experience… An older fellow (who did not even introduce himself), put my 2 HP Honda OUTSIDE of the door and said (pointing to the motor) “your motor is outside”. This was said rudely to me and I took this as a way of saying ‘get out of my business’. This is a perfect example of bad service and rude behavior from a business to the customer. I’m not sure if this was done because of my accent (I am a naturalized U.S. citizen), but either way, I left very offended. In short, I experienced zero loyalty - even though I purchased this product from this dealer. No service warranty: I asked three times and never received any document or explanation. I experienced terrible, terrible, rude and xenophobic behavior from this business. I have lived in Maine for 30 years and have NEVER experienced anything like this from any business ever.
