The waitstaff was super nice and it only took 20 minutes to order, get our food, appetizer and drinks. The frozen margarita was very watery - would not recommend, and the chips were tasteless and not anything special. We got 4 tacos: the Marci gras one (shrimp), the tso chicken one, the Mac n cheese one, and the BBQ pork one. My favorite was the BBQ. All the tacos are what I would describe as “watery” - very heavy on the sauces. The Mac n cheese one was so watery that it was a bit unpleasant in taco form. The shrimp one was fine, but our least favorite actually! The BBQ is so good; next time I’ll just two of those, skip the chips and marg, and I’d come again. Loved all the unique ideas for the tacos!!

I had my first trip to Cayenne, and it wont be my last! The food has great flavor and if you leave hungry, it's your own fault! The portions are large and well cooked. I was with two friends and we each got an entree and shared it so we could taste different things. Everything was wonderful, including the service! Jake was our server, and he was good! We were well taken care of , and he is friendly and personable and is very good at his job! Yes, we will be going back and hopefully Jake will be our server. I would rate Cayenne a good five. We enjoyed it , so if you get a chance, stop in and try the food and drinks. It's well worth the time and money!!!

Went for lunch- staff was a little too casual for my taste, shouting across the room at guests. Food was pretty alright, but some things are better left the traditional way. Not sure I would go back, might head to a sister location like Thyme or Sugar instead, or a different Mexican restaurant if I wanted that style.

There are very few good things I can say about this place. If you are looking for a cool atmosphere or a trendy Instagram picture this is a good place. If you want to try weird/interesting meals/combinations this is a good place for you. If your going for reliably good food and service….. Maybe go somewhere else. We waited 15 minutes to even have our order taken, waited twice as long for the food to come. The food wasn’t great and the food/drinks were either entirely wrong or took forever to get to our table. One of the meals we ordered came about 5 minutes before the check after everyone else had finished. The food alone was bad enough for me to never come back. Our waitress was nice and clearly trying her best but she had far too many tables, she was scatterbrained, not writing down any of the orders - it was a mess. This was one of the only times I was excited to leave the restaurant. This is a fun restaurant to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. That’s the only reason it gets two stars.
