They have a great selection, especially of David Austin Roses, Jeepers Creepers ground covers and certain natives compared to other nurseries. Everything is well kept and clean. But wow the prices, not sure how they expect anyone with a large yard to afford to shop there. I always love to check out local garden centres and have been to many all over Maine, and Sprague's is by far the most expensive I have been to, by a lot! I will be sticking with Longfellows as my go-to garden center. As well I was not impressed with the staff, not a single hello but instead annoyance at you being there. Some workers were standing around chatting and blocking the path to plants we wanted to look at and responded very rudely to our polite excuse us.

Wow! This place is a gardeners dream! Huge selection, arranged in sections so its easy to find what you need. The staff is super helpful and large carts are available to load up on plants. Prices seem to be in line with any big box garden center prices - which is saying something because the quality and selection trumps them all. I will definitely be returning and do all my plant/veggie/shrub/herb/flower/fruit tree shopping here in the future. If you are in the Bangor area, it's worth stopping by. There's also a waterwheel and chickens! A+++

We have a few varieties left, and will have a fall order coming in all the fruit trees are in a #7 gallon container and are roughly 6-8' tall for $69.99 and come with a guarantee!
Yes we do! We have container and bigger Ball and Burlap trees!
We have do have many trees that folks use to plant for memorial occasions.

If you or anyone in your household are experiencing any COVID symptoms, have tested positive, or have been deemed a close contact we ask you to stay home and visit when you are well. An outside register will be available again this summer for those of you who wish to stay outside.
