Horrible experience trying to get a rx refilled for libre2 sensors. Pharmacy has tried three times. I have called three times and still they have not gotten it right. Instead they called in test strips which i did not need. I dont know what else to do or how to make it any clearer to them but guaranteed i will be on the phone first thing tomorrow.

Trying to get a prescription refill has been an absolute nightmare! I called my pharmacy about 3-4 days after calling it in to check on the status. Pharmacy tells me they still have not heard back from this office and asked me to give them a call. When I called, I was shocked to hear an automated message saying prescription refills were no longer allowed on the message line and to call your pharmacy so they can call it in to them. Well, I have already done that days ago so who can I call to make sure they received the request? I had to call this office back and chose a different selection, only to be put on a list for immediate callback. This was at 11:15 on Friday and it's now Monday and still, no one from the doctor's office has called me back. I have been without my medicine all weekend. This is a medicine I need to take and have been on for years. I have had thyroid cancer and have NO thyroid so this medicine is something I have to take for the rest of my life. I am at a loss for what to do now. I am angry to be made to feel like patient's care do not matter. If this doesn't get resolved today, I'll be on day 4 of no medicine that I need. The absolute lack of urgency for patients in my situation is appalling.

They are very knowledgeable and the education is great. For those things I highly recommend them. However their office staff is rude and disorganized. You never know if they transfer you to speak with the Portland or Lewiston office, even when you specify Lewiston. Of course, if you have been transferred to the wrong office or person, it’s your fault. They are quite snippy and annoyed. If you are canceling or rescheduling an appointment they make it sound like they need a reason and seem to judge if it’s valid or not. Really impressed with one side of the Docs/ nurses/ education/ care. Really dread dealing with office staff, even face to face- like check in and out. They do not want to be there & don’t know how to smile fake it, like most people in customer service do. This is pre- pandemic & it’s worse now in the pandemic.

Hi Diane, we would recommend speaking with your son's primary care provider to find out if and where he should be referred to. They will be able to point you in the right direction to the correct specialist.

Would it be better to have you folks do my blood work? Testing my HGH as well as my Testosteron .

Central Maine Endocrinology & Diabetes Center | Aug 20, 2019

Hi Glen, if you are looking for a diagnostic workup, we would recommend contacting your primary care provider. If you have a known medical condition, your primary care provider can refer you to Ednocrinology for diabetes or Central Maine Urology Center for testosterone. If you'd like to speak to the practices directly, Endocrinology can be reached by calling 207-795-7520 and Urology can be reached by calling 207-795-2171. Thank you!
