Really great people to rent from. Had a beautiful & new pontoon boat, that ran wonderfully for 7 hours and just over a quarter tank of gas. The tube was almost unflippable and my kids loved it. Would definitely recommend and will rent again.

My family had put a deposit on a fishing boat. Our plans changed due to the Pandemic and our cabin rental was canceled. I immediately called them and they understood the position we were in. They refunded all of the deposit without missing a beat. When we go up next summer we will definitely be renting our boat from them.

We rented a boat from MBR for a week on the lake. The booking process went smoothly and we mailed our $750 deposit. When we arrived for vacation the boat was delivered the next day by a nice man. He and my husband both checked the boat over and the gentleman told my husband that the prop was in rough shape. We should of gotten that in writing. We took the boat but didn't use it for a couple days. When we took the boat out to go skiing, the ski rope handle was not good. It was torn up and hurt your hands terribly. My son-in-law called MBR to ask if we could get a new rope and he was told "sorry you get what you get." You can either duck tape it or go buy a new one and we will reimburse you. We don't have time to bring you a new one. So we just duck taped it. We used the boat maybe 5 times and enjoyed it. When it was time for MBR to pick up the boat a lady met us. She told my husband the prop was bent and there were a few other issues and we must of hit something. He told her what the gentleman that dropped the boat off said and she didn't agree. When we got out deposit back close to $250 was kept to supposedly fix the boat that we damaged. We called and were told that it was not damaged when dropped off and we did the damage. We did not do the damage and should not have been charged for it. When asked about the compensation for the bad ski rope, we were told that we could have a free rental item next season. Such as a skis, tube, etc. Needless to say, we will not be renting next season from MBR as I feel like we were charged to fix someone else's damage. I would advise anyone renting from MBR to get everything in writing. If the boat has any issues when it is dropped off, to get it in writing or request another boat. We will not be renting from MBR again and would not recommend them. Their customer service is lacking. We own a home on the lake and we've been recommending MBR to our tenants, but we will no longer do that.
