Crispy falafel tasty food. Red sauce is spicy just like it should be. White sauce is creamy and deliciously. Meat is nicely prepared. Reasonable prices.

We come here on Sundays and it gets busy, but they manage to make customers leaving the place, satisfied. This is our 3rd time visiting here. Not sure about what other people say, but we always get great service here. The manager, himself helps in the line, taking our order. Then bring our food to our table when ready. Our gyro plate (which is our favorite to order), or any food we'd like to have, are always filled with pretty good amount of meat and toppings of our choice. And oh, I love their white sauce! The place is clean, and restroom is clean.

I usually hate posting negative reviews especially to places that I really love. I usually go to halal guys for lunch and receive great service which not a lot of places provide these days. However tonight i came in for a gyro sandwich and this young Hispanic female employee “Haley” really creeped me out. First of all, her shirt and pants were really dirty and it was obvious she didn’t bother maintaining good hygiene at work, but worse of all she was extremely aggressive the way she slammed the trays down and asked me rudely what I wanted , then she proceeded to give me as little gyro meat as possible and then added a huge amount of lettuce as if she deliberately wanted a confrontation. I suddenly realized that she was in a terrible mood but I honestly thought she would physically attack me if I had asked her if everything was alright? I did manage to ask her in the end for her name , she paused for a moment probably realizing her behavior was obviously being noticed , she finally said “it’s Haley”. I left the place completely uncomfortable , the sandwich didn’t really look like an actual sandwich , I ate whatever protein there was and left 90% of lettuce untouched. I’ve never in my life have had a more uncomfortable and even scary experience at a fast food place.

So, the Hype was real after all. After watching endless videos on youtube about The Halal Guys and it's rich history in New York with humble beginnings. We knew that we had to try this place when visiting Chicago. The Food was simply amazing. Its a simple menu but with a big heart. Tried the famous Chicken/Beef/Rice combo and boy was it delicious. Portion size are generous as well. The famous white sauce is the real star and yeah be aware the hot sauce is really really hot like they market it. This particular restaurant was really neat, clean, Hygienic with a friendly staff. Can't wait to go back and try again!

The thing will help you in this case is if you take this matter to the manager and make sure it stays as documented. I wouldn't blame the resturant or the food for having an unprofessional employee. I would rather blame the management.
Yeah I remember tapping on their window and seeing them laugh because they were close. And theres no reason for them to close 15 mins early when their time says they close at 11.
