Where to even start. The facility. The grounds. The PEOPLE. It is a dogs heaven out on that turf! I’ve been wanting to get my dog in here because I knew how much love and care Taylor and Teresa put into this place, and mostly those dogs. The way they genuinely have such a good time on a daily basis with the dogs, no matter how long their days are, is amazing. They truly try to form a bond with each and every dog there. I also LOVE that they get rest time. I never felt comfortable leaving my dog for a full day at her other daycare due to lack of supervision. Dogs need down time too! I would go on forever about A1, ITS WORTH THE WAIT.

I can not say enough amazing things about A1K9 Academy! Starting at the initial meet and greet, we knew this was the place for our puppy! Their whole entire crew truly cares about the well being, safety and fun for all the dogs in their care. We have been bringing our two dogs to A1K9 for almost a year and we couldn't be happier with the service we receive! We have utilized their daycare service, as well as some training sessions with Taylor. Taylor, Terresa and their team provide a daycare experience unlike anywhere else in the area. The structure and socialization our two dogs get from going to daycare here has been life-changing. Our older dog used to not behave around other dogs, she wouldn't tolerate them, now she happily hangs out with 20+ dogs of all different breeds! When we send our dogs to daycare here we know they are getting a day full of engaging, healthy socialization and are being watched over by a team of people who are extremely knowledgeable and caring. Also, the training provided by Taylor is wonderful and I couldn't recommend his style and expertise enough, it is practical and effective. We couldn't recommend A1K9 enough!!

My Fiancé and I, and most importantly.. our dog, LOVE A1K9!! This is his happy place! We started our journey here with basic obedience training and daycare. Taylor took our stubborn French Bulldog puppy and worked his magic! I can not thank Taylor & Teressa enough for all their hard work + dedication they put into making sure these dogs have and live their best lives at daycare. They also offer boarding services which we have utilized many times and they go above and beyond with that as well. We have tried other daycares and our dog has never responded with such excitement as he does at A1K9. I love that Taylor & Teressa record a majority of the day and post to Instagram so I can watch my dog having fun! Having a peace of mind that you’re leaving your pet in great hands is so important and they just nail that.

Great question, I (Taylor) the owner do not. I do not have enough experience in that field of dog training to professionally declare myself one who could teach another owners dog that level of obedience in a controlled manner. So although I get request often, I remain responsible and stay in my lane until the day comes when I feel and am told I have that level of experience to offer as a professional training service. It is a big goal of mine as I continue to work with some amazing dogs and breeds but for now I am building an excellent reputation as a very reputable, professional trainer focusing on CGC training, Professional show dog training, basic to off leash obedience, behavioral modification & more. Someday I will be adding Protection to my Dog Training resume for sure! Stay tuned!
Our waitlist has grown to over 400 inquires, some with numerous dogs & request.. It grows everyday but we assure you that we are trying our best to keep up expanding the size of our business both inside & outside as well as staffing to be able to safely accept more amazing dogs into the Academy. We are working on setting up group classes to help more at once as well! We appreciate any and everyone's patience for this has been a very busy 21/22 for us!
No we do NOT require dogs to be spayed or neutered to attend A1K9 Academy but.. we do have a very strict policy and owner agreement before any unfixed dog is accepted into the academy. We are one of if not the only unique dog service that happily & professionally, allow unspayed and unneutered dogs to attend pending if they pass the temperament & behavioral evaluation test.
It varies per customer but our scheduled drop off time is 7:30am-8:30am and pick up is 5pm-6pm. We aim to make our clients days easier while their dogs are here so, anything we can do to help with pick up and drop off, we will do!

I personally train anywhere from 5-8 dogs a day depending of what level of training I am working on with each dog. Only so many hours in a day to get things done! As far as how many total, I have no clue, I lost track in 2019 I'd say, that's when things started to really pick up for me as a trainer & then after attending Starmark Academy in Texas, it's been extremely busy over here. I don't think I know any professional trainer that knows exactly how many dogs he/ she's trained. If they do, they haven't trained enough if you ask me!
