I've been to quite a few yarn shops and I've got to say that Pat has one of the best selections I have ever seen. It's very organized and easy to shop. Pat is very knowledgeable and has always been helpful when ever I had questions. I highly recommend Charlotte's Web to anyone that loves fiber art, be it crocheting, knitting or anything else.

I've been going to Charlotte's Web for my yarn needs since I was nine years old. Pat Gates carries some of the most beautiful and high quality yarn, it's totally spoiled me against all other yarn!! You know that what you're getting it worth the price but they also have a TON of sales throughout the year with great markdowns. Pat (the owner) is a connoisseur in terms of knitting and is a great resource for questions and an equally great resource for some amazing sarcasm if you want a good laugh (:

Have been there many times over the last 10 plus years and have never felt welcome even when I purchased something, the customer service I received was at best indifferent. I think it's a rather cliquey place, with a local following who all know each other and take classes there. It's too bad "Yarn Song" in Plaistow has closed because it had a polar opposite atmosphere. It's not a place I would recommend for browsing or shopping unless you are in a pinch.,

My friend and I had the pleasure of visiting this yarn shop in late February. We spent a long time picking out yarn (huge selection) and talking with Pat, who is just a wonderful human being. Would highly recommend visiting this shop, and if you’re lucky enough to interact with Pat, your life will be that much brighter!
