Circle of Stitches is my local yarn store, but even it wasn't I'd go out of my way to shop here - the yarn is thoughtfully curated and it's clear that they're seriously passionate about fiber and fiber arts. If you ever want to feel like an accomplished sophisticated craftsperson capable of making things of beauty using nothing but two needles and a string of wool just browse around for a few minutes! It's impossible not to get inspired. (Also since Circle of Stitches is my lys I'd be remiss not to shout out how proactive CoS is about COVID-19 safety. Salem is a tourist destination all through the year and so there's extra risk involved when making decisions. I really respect that they've been up front about centering the health of the community. Thanks guys!)

I’ve never thought about knitting before but this store is so nice that it made me make up my mind to start knitting! The staff cannot be more friendly and was very patient to help me choose the correct choice & amount of yarn for my first project. There is a large variety of beautiful colors for each type of yarn and the price is competitive (the yarn I bought is the same price in the store as on Amazon). Definitely will come back some time!

Destination yarn store. Ana is a wonderful shop owner and knit witch. She also offers lessons and has helped me improve my knitting by leaps and bounds. The shop is adorable with a wide selection of lovely yarns, as well as household items and knitting accessories. I wish I didn’t move away so I could come back every week. If you’re in Salem, Circle of Stitches is a must-visit shop.

Fantastic little shop in the heart of Salem's waterfront. Here you will find beautiful yarns, great designs, and well curated collection of tarot cards and other witchy goods. Look more closely and you'll also find a thriving community of fiber artists. Ana offers lessons, encouragement, and a weekly Zoom-based knit night, now joined by people from all over the country. This is a full service store. I have on two recent occasions bought yarn for projects by consulting with Ana over Messenger. She sent me photos until we had the colors I wanted lined up and then I was able to pick up the yarn curbside. More recently, she mailed me a set of knitting needles I needed for a project. It's almost too easy to buy the yarns you need/want from Circle of Stitches.
