We were visiting Portland for the weekend but also wanted to get out of the city to explore. So we decided to rent a car via Expedia pretty last minute (a week before) and they had cars available. The location is not great because it’s right by Chinatown so there are a lot of characters. You probably don’t want to be there after dark. They close at 5 so if you want to drop your car off after hours, you have to park in on the street and drop the key in the box outside. We didn’t want to have to worry about where to park and/or the car getting broken into so we ended up just rushing back to return the car before 5. The guy helping us was really nice and helpful (didn’t get his name but shout out to whoever was working on 2/21/22). Car pick up and drop off was really easy and quick. We got a Toyota Corolla and it was clean enough. I probably wouldn’t recommend this location only because of where it’s situated, but that’s not Dollar’s fault. But it is right in Downtown so it’s the closest option if you’re staying in the area.

Our rental car was broken into overnight and the staff here got us a replacement in no time. They helped us with our paperwork regarding the damage to our rental as well as helped us with procedures regarding refilling the tank and other tips to help save us some money during the rental/exchange process.

These people have NO interest in customer service! They could care less if you’re happy with anything. The small collection of cars they have are awful! Smell like stale smoke. Save your money! I’d rather walk! Okay

You can use a debit card. But the whole amount plus an extra fee are held on your account up front. At the end, they only put the final charge through for the actual charges.
It's about a 5-10 minute walk straight down Broadway.
You have the option to return your car rental to a different location. However, you must tell them in advance.
Check website availability. Accessories may include a car seat
Depends on the type of reservation and season of year. I recommend the lock low and go rate during non park seasons
