Fantastic place. Looking forward to continuing to help prepare some of the students there for the GED exam.

Helps pregnant woman run away from the loving living caring father with a unborn son and keeps it confidential and so she can lie about her situation and take somebody else's spot who really needs to help it's sad and disgusting

Just because you use Gods name, doesn't mean he is in it . I have yet to experience the love of Christ from this organization. And would like the General public to know that God does not reason like humans. Im praying for the Holy spirit to convert these people into the true image of Jesus.

Me and my 3 kids where here like 2 months and wasn’t completely aware of all the rules until we already moved in. No soda, no hot Cheetos, tv only on weekends, only allowed to listen to Christian music, no electronics allowed and my daughter was having seizures I needed a doctor to tell them to give me a phone, not sure how they teach independence when you can’t do anything independently for a long time. Takes at least one year to get electronics back and then you’re allowed to do a job search. You need a Pass for everything basically and it takes forever for a Case Manager to approve it. When I ran out of baby formula I was given expired formula for my Newborn. All food and supplies are donations most the food is slightly expired and barely get any snacks me and my kids where starving most the time. They put working for the Mission as a priority over any appointments, you have to ask your supervisor for permission to miss work even though you’re not even being paid. You only get to make personal calls after 6:45pm and the phone list is very long I had to stand outside in the cold with my kids for 45 minutes to make one 10 min phone call and got in trouble for having my kids out in the cold but no one offered me to wait in a warm area. You are not allowed to have your medication on you so you also have to stand in line outside in the cold about 45 min or longer 3 times a day for medication. For Christmas dinner we were given a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The food choices they gave us were so horrible on the 3rd day of not eating I moved out

I am alumni of this amazing Christian program and I was 54 when I enrolled. Yes, the mission can help you if you want to change your life! I have a rewarding full time job and am nearly finished with my college degree. That’s a big improvement from the despair and homelessness I experienced just 4 years ago.
Yes
U cant call for an appointment. U must go for a walk in. The hours for this are Mon. -Fri. 8am to 4pm Start with this they will guild you the rest of the way
Married couples/families have their own rooms and do not share the room.
Every 1 is supposed to work ...but some slack off ..take naps... And the staff does not hold them accountable. This is Not a Godly place. And don't be fooled by the pictures... Jim does not sit with children... The photographer was in there and taking pictures just 2 put them up 2 pat himself on the back. We went in there as A hubby and wife.54 52 years. Not due to drugs or alcohol... But lost our home. As I am reading these reviews... The only ones that r. Getting a response are the ones who are lying. The staff like to control... God doesn't do that. He gives free will. This is a cult.... They call it a Christian. Ministry to lure folks in .
Yes, we have a need for books for all ages and toiletries as there are nearly 300 residents. I believe there is a library onsite and the warehouse takes donations Monday- Friday 8-5. Just pull up and they will unload for you and provide you with a receipt if you'd like. Hope this helps.
Yes they do however, you will not be able to work at first. You will first work on the property as well as doing classes to help yourself. It is an amazing, Christ based program
We are not an emergency shelter. It's a process to get into our program. If you would like more information call the admissions team at (714)247-4379.
Contact facility direct
The OCRM does house children up to the age of 11 @ time of move in, the program lasts up to two years.
Documents showing that a person is able to legally work are required.
Married couples go into the program together.
Yes you can if they don't take it they will tell you. Gloves and mask advised
Yes. Call the rescue Mission and they would he happy to accept the donated pastries/bagels
I'm sorry to hear that that's very unfortunate. One of the disqualifiers are violence. Your domestic violence if more than 4 to 5 years old old then come down and pre-screen at 1 Hope Drive in Tustin to get on the waiting list
Yes. Parole and or probation. It would be in that persons best interest to communicate that with the P.O. Walk in hours OCRM are Mon - Fri 8am to 4pm
It's a back to work program. If your medical condition stops you from working then NO you do not qualify. If you can work, then yes they take single males and have medical services on site to help you.
How sweet! I would call them directly.
Yes, that would be great
Just call and they will direct you to the volunteer coordinator. They will tell you the requirements.
I would call them. The Orange County Rescue Mission is not a short term shelter, there is an application process and is faith based. They can however refer your family member to other shelter's or organizations that may be able to help them out short term or whatever their needs may be.
My sister is pregnate and she's homeless is she able to be to enter the rescue mission
They can still qualify but in most cases they're required to work on site for a probation period and may not be able to leave for work during that time. There are other programs for that!
There is no smoking aloud on campus. It is a 2 year back to wotk program. That should answer for the time duration. No smoking no drinking and no drugs. Drug test and nicotine test are done at random. It is not a program for everyone. But those who go through it and complete it show success in life. Worth giving up those vices for a new life.
They always have great programs but you'd have to call about that specifically I think.
This is the best and most needed place.
Yes you can, speak to you're counselor or the residents counselor.
Probably won't accept you based on your situation, its a Christian faith based program. Try the LA area they have help more geared to you situation.
This place is full of resources
The orange county rescue mission is a great place to start that its a 9 month to a 2 year commitment but they can help you get back on your feet
Please contact them directly.
HB-one has a new shelter, look it up
Yes
Any food in cans, soup beans, ramen, they can use. Great cause in helping those in need.
Drive to the address see if anyone is around
To my understanding there are some household items they don't accept...so you may want to go to their website and see if there is information posted on what not to drop off before you make the drive. Hours if drop off are 8-5, or you can call them to...hope this helps. 🙂
Normal business hours M-F for drop off of donations. However, OCRM is open 24 hrs. You can also visit their website.
I deleted my response by accident. The best thing to do is visit their website to get more detailed information. If you want to volunteer, work, or be a resident there. There is an application process, orientation and background check involved or you van call them. Check out their website, it will answer most of your questions. They are open 24/7 too.
Best thing to do is like the other person said call and find out but I was helping somebody out yesterday at Starbucks by a where a live there is to rescue missions in Anaheim that helps mothers with children I don't know the names but Google it Google a homeless mothers would children for Anaheim or check out Santa Ana but Google homeless mothers with children and there's a lot of programs out there for women that are pregnant don't care about your background
Call the office , someone is there working graveyard
Thank I called them they said I can come fo start the intake process and I would just need to have my current stuff before my acceptance date
The warehouse is open 9 to 5 but there are collection boxes outside. You can pick up a donation receipt at the office if it is after hours
Call and find out your options. It's a great program
As long as you don't have any violent crimes or sexual crimes in your back ground and are legally able to work in the United States and can work without any limitations or restrictions you may qualify for this program
Those with pets should call there local emergency shelter
Sorry we only have student program for veterans. If you are seeking housing you can come to our Tustin location at 1 Hope Dr. Tustin Ca, 92782 for a prescreen interview we do them on a walking basis Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.
Freddie, we are a back to work program. So you would be working a regular 8 hours a day. The goal is to get back in the swing of working daily, along with groups, 1 on 1's with a case manager, church, ECT...
The Village of hope program is not a time driven program but on average people graduate in 18 months- 2 yrs. The resident would be given a job assignment upon entrance to the program and work 5-6 days a week and at least 40 hours a week on a volunteer basis.
You will need a valid ID and you must wait a week or more to pass a background check. The bus depot is several miles away. There is also a train station. While waiting to be cleared for the Mission, you could stay at the Armoury Homeless Shelter or the Salvation Army Shelter. They do have programs. If you are admitted, you will be assigned a daily job. I worked in the kitchen as a dishwasher. I don't recall how long the program is. I do think it's up to two years or longer if you work the whole thing. Upon arrival, you must surrender your cellphone for, I think, 21 days. After that, they will return it but heavily monitor and restrict your activity on it. When I was at the Salvation Army, most of their staff were graduates of the Mission.
Do you live in Tustin? If so call me my cell phone number is 657-324-6910
Pedro i agree with tenacious OCRM is amazing place
I don't know. Call. The office of the Rescue Mission.
Yes
Hi Karen, Thank you for reaching out. You can call (714) 247-4300 or stop by One Hope Drive in Tustin to schedule an appointment with our intake team. Thank you!
Interviews are weekdays 8 to 4. I suggest you go in for an interview to learn more about their programs
Apply with HR
So yes same thing. Kids and parents are all in the same rooms(s).
If you are asking about Village of Hope program, You would be in the same room or the same floor, depending on the room availability. And either way, you see each other every day, have meals together, etc.
Just go in and talk to the ladies in the front fresh
You should consult a lawyer, not a Google forum
Yes just drop off at the donation spot in front
The Village of Hope program is designed for people who are not employed. If you are employed, clean/sober, and have kids you can apply for the transitional housing programs.
They have a drop off location in front of the building
You should talk to the Mission. I think they may quarter you and your boyfriend separately, but still allow you two to be in contact.
Yes... Thank you... Please drop them off at 1 Hope Drive. Tustin
Detox and rehab then they may except her. Call them for info and referrals.
Depending on programs some have a wait list. Also try Orange county housing authority.
It's about a two-year program they have you do the program in stages. You should definitely give them a call they will explain a majority of how the program works to you.
They are both eligible but only after a background check is done.
Yes, their are lots of babies that live there... They would be appreciated!!!

They have an intake process that you go thru and if they except you, you get to stay. If i was you i would try and get in there. It will be the best thing you've ever done.
Of course they'll take all of the Staples in the food categories however there are times when they do request types of foods, such as baby food, formula, canned foods etc... because they're really short on them. So yeah thank you for doing the Staples that you're taking the time to bring it over to to them. If you need any assistance in that regard please feel free to contact me I'm always willing to try and help take items to the to the mission.
No..you must be able to be employed
what is a phone number for me to give her? I live out of state and feel helpless... thank you so much...
Ive been dealing with these ppl for a year. I can try to help you as best as i can. Whats your question.
Students are offered an opportunity to gain the stability needed, and then be empowered to get to the root causes that brought about instability and homelessness, be restored and then move forward in life as a healthy, self-sufficient person. The foundation of the program is faith/Christian based, along with comprehensive mental/physical/emotional/educational/vocational services to support individuals who are willing to do the hard work of changing their lives.
You do if you want to live together. They take single men, single men with children, single women, single women with children, married couples, and married couples with children.
Married couples or singles, but not domestic partners.
Give them a call and let intake know your situation. They'll let you know what you need.
Yes if you are legally married and can show proof
She has to come in and meet with the intake team. If she is a good fit for the program then yes, the mission and many programs can help her.
Homeless court is a way to trade your time in a program with fees you owe the courts.
