Great place to people watch, it's actually entertaining at times. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, gift shop, or shop for your self. Yes, need a new tee shirt, perhaps the sun is too much and you're getting burned now, even though it's a bit chilly. Be aware of the extra fees restaurant's are charging, they don't have to print it on their menu, but if they want to charge they do have to show it and explain why when you ask. So, perhaps those small vendors might be helpful after all. Bring a windbreaker, San Francisco weather is cool. Hop in a bike carriage $15 per person, Ferry Ride to Vallejo from the Ferry Building - mobile app $9.00 counter purchase $11.25 1 hour ride. There are several stores that have closed unfortunately. Plenty of transportation options in S.F. Be considerate of each other in this life, bringing forth good vibes works for all. We all share this earth, be kind where ever you vacation, kindness spreads faster than you realize. HAVE A GREAT TIME!

This is right besides the bay in San Francisco. It has views of the Golden Gate Bridge as well as the Bay bridge. It has lots of restaurants street artists, street food carts, gift shops and a huge array of shops selling various stuff. It is a beautiful place to go for a nice walk in the evening. There are also shops which sell tickets for tours packages and cruises to various places like Alcatraz, hop-in buses to around the city. The best way in my opinion is to walk around and explore. There are carousels which it’s entertaining for kids. There are restaurants which serve really nice seafood if that’s your preference. Is also a nice place for capturing nice photographs of the city and the skyline and it’s up and down roads, which San Francisco is famous for.

I love the hustle and bustle at this pier. Great time to spend with your loved ones. Been multiple times at this pier in different seasons. Spring equinox is a great time to be at this place. Plan to spend minimum of 2-3 hours at this place. Street parking is difficult to find, however parking garage for $15 flat fee is affordable and walking distance. Good vibes with great food, shows and music and visually appealing spots. Strongly recommend!

Pier 39 was amazing. We went around late Dec and we’re lucky to see the seals out basking in the sun. Pretty much looked around the place and enjoyed the views. Although it was busy it was nice being at pier 39 and watching the seals. Highly recommend if you wanna do something chill around San Francisco. This attraction is also close to the Ferry Building which I recommend too. Also easy access to the boat that takes you in a tour to the old federal prison - Alcatraz, which is also worth your time.

I like to see them because it's for the men and women went to the war and fight for our country and men and women who past away from there family and friends and thats the way should be when these men and women the blue Angels should be out in the sky
If by some fluck you were able to get close enough to touch one it could very easily grab you in it's jaws and drag you under and drowned you . They're very strong and temperamental. Only a fool would try to mess with a wild beast that weighs 300--500 lbs. (males) ....90--200 lbs. (females).
$$$ public transportation is better. The F line runs down the embarrassment...amazing views and stops right in front.
If going to a restaurant keep your receipt and have them validate your parking. 2 hours free
Yes but please dispose of your butts.
There is a multilevel parking next to PIER 39. There will be parking for differently abled. At least in the ground level parking.
Around 25 minutes . It's not too far from Pier 39
They are gorgeous creatures but beware if they have pups as they are very protective
He said this: I wanted to date somebody there and I want to live there This was translated from Portuguese Answer in English: Yes you can date, but I think you can not live on the pier itself
If it is and also on the avenue there is another one with sporting goods, t-shirts, etc.

Most of the shops are open with restricted capacity. Only a few of the restaurants are closed but the days and hours vary so calling is your best bet.

I didn't know there was a Disney parade at the Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf area. Maybe at Disneyland?
The chowder place was good! Thanks for all the recommendations
Its not open yet, the manager said by June 1
There is a parking building across the road
Dogs are welcome On lead and please clean up after them
Unfortunately, I don't know.. ask a local. They are the best source
I mean you could touch them, but you'd likely have to swim to them first. Then I doubt they'd let you on any of their platforms. And I don't think SF police would be too happy about it either.
There are people who drive the bikes while you sit in a side box
PIER 39 is owned, leased and managed by Moor + South/PIER Management Co., LP. https://www.pier39.com/pier-info/
Why wash your hands properly clean of impurities, and if you do it with the right soap, it eliminates almost 100% of bacteria and viruses. The point is to do it in a clean place, with clean water and dry properly.
There's is a parking garage in pier 39. It's open 24/7. $10-12/ hour upto 5 hours and then it won't charge. There was a lengthy queue when I visited on Sunday. But I could find one empty spot.
No, Fishermans Wharf is 5 minutes to go from Pier 39
I think it's US 36 per day.
You can spend the whole day depending on what interests you. The cable cars start nearby and they are definitely worth the ride. Get your tickets on-line and save.
Me
No. Humans are at no time close to the sea lions. They are wild animals with large teeth and can be aggressive. Trust me, you don't want to be close to them. They lay around on floating docks a safe distance from people. They are plenty close enough to enjoy watching. And I don't think they recommend that you feed them either.
There are several pay parking facilities in the area including hotels with valet service if you are desperate. This is probably the most convenient resource though: https://www.pier39.com/pier-info/directions-parking/
I don't think there is a free parking in that area.
Yes. There is one newly opened.
Fisherman Wharf is a neighborhood which is the north facing view of the bay area. It basically starts around VanNess (Ghirardelli Square) and runs toward Pier 39. It is filled with shops, restaurants, hotels and visitors. Pier 39 in addition hosts a carousel and the viewing platform to observe the sealions.
No problem until 2am ! Many people on the place
I did not make my journey to the plane. I do not know 🙄
Boudin's.
German? So... don't speak deutsch.
Summer weather at San Francisco averages 70 degrees and the humidity is not as bad. Bring a light jacket for the nights.

We stayed very close to pier 39 recently. Instead of using a taxi for sight seeing we bought the three day city bus pass. The buses are accessible, my husband is in a wheelchair, and we had fun hopping on and off at all the tourist attractions. Some of the steep streets were a problem.
San Francisco, California in United States of America
Yep
You will get in trouble since they are protected animals.
There is a lot of places to shop, and restaurants to eat at, there are boat tours to see the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. You can go and watch the sea lions. Listen to street musicians. Sit on a bench and ppl watch.
Pier 39 is free to visit. There are many activities around, such as the shops, the Alcatraz tour, and free sea lion watching among other things.
Huh?
Keychains, magnets, clothing, food, etc.
Get the sourdough bread bowl with clam chowder at Boudins. Trust me. It's great.
There are cruises to Alcatraz Island and also there's is one that takes you under the Golden Gate Bridge, makes a round of Alcatraz and brings you back to the Pier
