Only real negative is you hear 202 206 and 287 for most of it. Huge positive for dog owners is there’s a dog park en route. You have to option to do the “bedminster loop” which will bring you into town and through neighborhoods. Along the way is a Mediterranean restaurant, a pizza place, a library, and much more. If you do bring your horse there’s a horse shop but not sure how close you would be able to get to it as horses aren’t allowed on pavement. All of the “highway hugging” parts are fenced in so kids and dogs are safe no worries.

First off there is no proper place to park; the address given on Google leads to a private residential area where you’re destined to rack a good towing bill of $180 or more. Hard to find a beginning point. Very dark and intimidating wooded areas while others right near traffic…plus killer mosquitos..So sad!😣

Great trail with moderate to light use in some parts and heavy use in other parts. Difficult to figure out where to park at the south side entrance- we ended up parking in a preschool parking lot (it was a holiday) after getting yelled at by a resident for parking on a residential street (there were no signs saying one couldn't park there). Lots of pleasant surprises along the way, including a portion off-trail where local kids had put in some bike jumps and a rope swing near the river. Also a playground with swings (poorly maintained/weeds but safe), and in the portion after the school (almost to downtown Bedninster), there is a "challenge course" with pipes to try to climb and slanted monkey bars, etc. Highly recommended for a family of all ages willing to do an almost 6-mile out-and-back round trip.
