Orange theory fitness has a circulation type of workout approach. You do not stay on one thing for too long. It is simple and small yet equipment is well cared for. The community is there for their own goal and it’s pretty self monitored with using the heart monitors. Splats received during the work out is motivating for me and to see how long I can stay in the orange. People are friendly and welcoming and I just need accountability. Give it a try it’s worth it.

First off, I'm giving 2 stars just because the staff were very nice. Ok, so my impression of orangetheory is that it's basically an expensive high school P.E. class. If anyone has taken weight lifting classes as an elective in high school this will feel almost the same. It is extremely structured, and they force you to do something specific. If you like that style, go for it. But again this just felt like a PE class with high fees. Before entering the class, the instructor said she wants to 'create a vibe'. which only meant that she put on loud annoying modern mumble rap music that i had to endure. this type of thing might work for some but for the rest, the high cost of joining is better spent on another fitness center that has more amenities and gives you freedom

A first impression does a lot for me, and this orange theory in Corvallis did not have a good one. I understand I was only 15 min early and not 30 min early. I would have happily rescheduled. But, the moment a walked in I was kindly created by one younger lady. While who I assume was the workout leader and or manager standing behind her was not so kind. Before introducing herself or even acknowledging me as a person or looking me in my eyes says “you’re 15 minutes late” and then Turns to continue to tell me to reschedule. Might visit another orange theory somewhere else in the future. But I will not be back here. Might want to practice a greeting or two while you row.

Out of all the OTFs Ive exercised at, Corvallis reigns supreme. Most notably, Victoria the studio manager and Ellen the head coach are top tier. Sure, the workout of the day is the same at every studio…but is it? Corvallis up levels with their longstanding fitness knowledge, music, and attention to detail (coaches noticing form, if your band is not working, if you leave the class early etc), which makes that same workout even better. Even the new coaches, by comparison to other new coaches at other studios Ive gone to, seem exceptional. The studio is clean, the staff are friendly and the community is strong; inside and outside the studio.

It’s our top priority to keep our staff and members safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. As recommendations and data change rapidly, our Medical Advisory Board is working hard to ensure studios follow CDC guidance, in addition to state and local government guidance. We recommend contacting your local studio for more information.
If you’ve already been doing Orangetheory and become pregnant, check with your doctor first. Our heart rate monitoring is a perfect way to keep an eye on your intensity as you progress through your pregnancy. If you are a few months into your pregnancy and haven’t been doing any sort of fitness training, wait until after you have your baby and we can help get you back into shape!
Absolutely. Our coaches are trained to provide options for each exercise on the floor, in addition to offering a low-impact bike and strider alternative in place of the treadmill for lower body injuries or orthopedic restrictions.
Of course. Orangetheory is geared toward ALL levels of fitness and everyone is free and encouraged to go at their own pace. We recommend trying a free introductory workout, then discussing any thoughts or questions you may have regarding your fitness goals, with your coach.
Splat Points indicate minutes spent in the orange and red zones. Aim for 12 or more Splat Points per class.
Orangetheory is 5 Zone heart rate based interval training using specifically designed and timed interval training blocks. During a workout, members focus on Zones 3, 4 and 5. The workouts are designed to produce 12 minutes or more in Zones 4 & 5 combined (to achieve the after burn) during the treadmill training portion of the workout.

Orangetheory is a 1-hour, full body workout, focused on training to build endurance, strength and power. We use heart rate-based interval training, which burns more calories post-workout than traditional exercise. When wearing our heart rate monitors, your real-time results are displayed on large screens throughout the studio. Intensity is based on your individual heart rate zones, making the workout effective for all fitness levels. To top it off, our fitness coaches lead the workout to prevent you from overtraining or undertraining.
OTbeat™ is our exclusive heart rate monitoring technology. Members have the unique experience of seeing real-time data during their workout, enabling them to push themselves to new limits. After class, they can then monitor their improvements through emailed results and by using the Orangetheory Fitness app.
Our rates and fees vary based on the studio, but your first workout is FREE. Contact your local studio to discuss pricing when you redeem your free workout!
