Arrived at 7:50pm to pick up an item ordered online for in-store pickup. With 10 minutes before closing time the parking garage was blocked off, and when we arrived at the front door at 7:55 despite the parking delay the security guard wouldn’t unlock the door. Even when shown the receipt for item already paid for and just needing to be picked up he still wouldn’t let us in. I understand not wanting shopping/lingering at closing time but this was ridiculous.

Love the convenient location !!! Staff is nice , but i dont love how there are a-lot of auspicious people - thought some lady was gonna snatch my purse and run off after she “shopped “oddly clise for about two aisles near me . I finally shopped another area of store because of this . Its frustrating to see men and women simply fill up shopping carts full of merchandise and walk out of the store all crazy and strung out . The tuck under patking lot is geeti g sketchy too. Target can we please get REAL security working in the store and in parking - pretty please?! We don’t t want you to close !!!

I was so excited when this City Target opened so close to home. The Pharmacists have been great! They are always timely and help to find discounts. Unfortunately, the rest of the store seems to struggle with keeping product on shelves - literally there is nothing in the electronics section, and cosmetics is pretty bare. There seems to be a lot of sketchy people 'shopping for a 5-finger discounts', and folks with behavioral/mental health issues. On the outside, there seems to be a lot of trash and garbage. The adjacent illegal encampment doesn't help make it a welcoming location. I feel for the staff. It's not their fault that their store is a magnet for those with unseemly behaviors, nor is it their fault that the migration of trash accumulates in front of their store. Like so many things in Portland these days, I'm not sure this store location is gonna last.

I ain't just angry; I'm disappointed. Went here the first few times when it had its first opening and it was honestly great during then! Super convenient and as well as helpful when it comes to grocery shopping here. It helped out especially when I was still getting used to the general area of Hollywood. I still remember one floor associate helping me with a choice of backpacks for purchase and I still use that said backpack to this day. However, as time went on, it only went down hill. Theft, increase in prices of several items I usually buy (mislabeling/general increase), homeless walking around, and staff not caring as much as they used to nowadays. I literally witnessed 2 events happen in front of me while I was shopping for chicken to cook; Theft out of the alarmed door and a woman both dropping dirty things and literally spitting on dairy products. I ain't making this up at all and it was within the span of 1-2 minutes. I do worry about not just myself, but other shoppers and employees as well when it comes to health and safety in this location. I only hope that things change for the better and not for the worse. Otherwise, I might just have to look elsewhere for better alternatives. Edit because I can't decide between 1 or 2 as my rating.

No unfortunately not.

One wonders: what degree of grocery sales competition with Trader Joe's has been planned for; is expected?
