My mother was born in this hospital in 1949. She was cared for again during her life for a hip replacement surgery and back surgery. In 2016 my mom was taken care of for water on her heart, lung and bone cancer. She passed away but the staff here were very good to her and let me talk to her as often as I could. I lived in Eatonville by Seattle 3 hours away. They made mom's last days better for her and helped us to know she taken care of since we couldn't be there. Her nurse Nora was incredible and wonderful It was in a way nice for for grandmother to know that the hospital that help bring my mom into the world also took care of her as she left.

We had a great experience on the 4th floor with delivery and the lactation specialist. The nurses were very helpful and patient. The staff was very responsive at all times of the day when we called for help. The hospital is very outdated but the care we received was great.

If I could leave a negative star review I would. I went to my Doctor's office and after examining me he wanted me to go directly to the ER. He called to give emergency staff the heads up so they would be ready. The lady who checked me in said she had no notes in her computer so while waiting my mom called the Doctor to verify he indeed called. He had and suggested telling the staff to communicate with the triage nurse who took his call. When my name was called, I was struggling to breathe and about to faint. I was in a wheel chair to prevent falling and getting hurt. The woman who called me back wanted me to stand up on the scales to be weighed. When we said I couldn't she was visibly irritated. I told her through gasps of air my exact weight. My mom asked her to talk to the triage nurse who took the doctor's call. He worried that I may have a Pulmonary Embolism. I was very scared, sick and my diaphragm was having spasms. I told the nurse with tears in my eyes that I couldn't breathe and begged for help. She kept rudely shooting me down, getting in my face telling me that I could in fact breathe. She mocked me and said I was breathing just fine. She was so rude and unkind to me-heartless. It wasn't only what she said either, it was how she said it. My mom wheeled me outside where I was bawling & throwing up in the parking lot. This is not the first time my experience was horrible at Memorial. I never want to return there, regardless of the emergency. The hospital should be a place people can trust. It seems this staff member has not been trained to pay attention to patients' individual needs and a lot of assuming took the place of individual care. There are always exceptions! She definitely was not more trained or more educated than my doctor! Who was she to take that sort of risk regardless? Besides, everyone should be treated with respect. There was not even an attempt to show kindness while I was shaking, my temp was low, sweating, and about to faint. If I'd stood on the scales and fallen; I would have had injuries, no doubt. If I'd died from a Pulmonary Embolism the hospital would certainly regret the nurses actions, I am only guessing. I worry about other patients being treated without compassion. Why would someone with so little empathy work with the public? Especially caring for the vulnerable. She needs to understand that and if she can't, she shouldn't work with patients. Something needs to happen to prevent this from happening to anyone else. And before the hospital gets sued from staffs unwise decisions. I deserve an apology after how I was treated. I don't know her name but she was who was taking vitals on March 25th, 2022 at 4:30-4:45 PM in the first cubicle closest to security.

I would get hold of head of admission to inform them how you were treated, cause that was not right.
A question
Yes. They will give patients with an absce the antibiotics needed to assist in gaining control of the infection which should give the patient sudable time to find a dentist to provide the required work.
No. I was just there with my husband who had a mild heart attack. While in icu first 24 hrs I was allowed to be there. Once transfer to a regular room I was able to go first morning for an hour per the nurse then I went to go back the next day and they told me there was no visitors allowed and then I asked someone else and they said there was one person authorized security let me through then my husband got scolded by the nurses about me sneaking in. Which I did not I went through security like everybody else and everybody watch me walk through this Halls and no one said a word knowingly that I was not supposed to be in there. I called and talked to the charge nurse and the operator and no one could give me a straight answer. The operator will tell you that is up to each nurse.

You probably would have to call ahead to ask where.
You need to contact, the hospital directly.
Yes, I would say it is a good hospital, it has alot to offer, including the only maternity ward in town.
Why would they, if you don't tell them?
Faxing is not a good way to transfer records anymore .You could probably have them emailed to your account . Or go in person to probe your identity, then authorize the records sent to VA. Via email. So get an email address from VA to send those records to a person you speak with. Call the hospital to make sure that works. Good luck ,and thanks for your service to our country.
You need to call the hospital phone number and ask.
