My wife and I LOVED taking the trolley out to Selah. There's not a lot to see or do when you get there. But the ride out and back was AWESOME!!

Experience the evolution of technology, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, and a historical trolley ride at the Yakima Electric Railway Museum! You won't regret learning about and helping preserve part of the backstory to modern Yakima. From how to power mobile electric engines, to solving the many problems of reversing directions, to how two special trolleys escaped political upheaval in Portugal... this museum and its staff have wonderful knowledge, stories, and experiences to share!

This is the last one that we know about. They used to be common on the Willey City route for people to catch the trolley. Pine Street had many historical features that our Motorman/Conductor talk about during your West Pine Street excurision.

Is there a model trolley layout in the museum?

We have one that a volunteer started last year, but is missing tracks, wire poles, and trolley - it's not finished and a work in progress. It sitting on top of an apple bin, but need a cover to protect it. We have an eight foot glass showcase that I would like to see someone create a miniature of the Yakima Electric Railway Yard, Selah line, naches river and 128 year old bridge, and Selah stop. Plus a working miniature of one of our trolleys that kids could move with an outside control.
