This was a great easy hike! Great for all levels. The weather was cloudy and a little bit of hazy. The sun ended up breaking thru later on. I arrived around 9am. There was still several parking spots open. Parking is $3 dollars. We stopped at Cave Rock also. I logged in a total of 4.51 miles on my Garmin. Happy hiking!

The trail is still closed due to fire rehabilitation. It's an easy trail and cell reception is almost constant. Bring water and sunscreen as there isn't much shade.

There are many entrances to the trail. Lots of levels of trails around here. I didn't find dripping cave trail until I was headed back. I love trails where the certain stops along the way tell a story more than anything. There was a old little cattle coral and the direct trail to dripping cave was super inspirational. The walls along and burnt top really makes you imagine how people spent time 100+ years ago.

It was a nice hike. I think it would of been better to go after it has rained.

Definitely kid friendly. Not sure about dogs, check at the trail head, but I'm afraid they are not.
Today, 3/11/19, the entire Park is still closed due to the rains. When the Park reopens , Dripping Cave, Coyote Run and Nature Loop are the only trails that will remain closed due to the fire damage and the need for the habitat to heal.
You can park at the Aliso and Wood Canyons park entrance on Awma and hike in or, for a different hike that still ends at Dripping Cave, park at Canyon View Park in Aliso and follow Wood Creek down to the cave.
