Great place for a weekend adventure! Staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Kayaked and then ate our picnic lunch at their Ale House right on the river (with a brew or two).

The river is fun to tube on but the prices are becoming way too high. It used to be cheaper and all you do is literally float down the river for two hours. Should cost that much to do.

A great way to enjoy a day on a quiet stretch of the Dan River. Our trip started a bit late because there were people stuck in parade traffic. I appreciate that they were willing to wait a few minutes to ensure everyone was there for the put-in. From the drop off back to their base is about 6 miles of nearly deserted river with several awe inspiring rocky cliffs. No crazy rapids, several nice beaches - so pack a lunch (someone today even brought a little grill and burgers!) and whatever you want to drink, just pack out all your garbage please! Dan River Company staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will be returning, and bringing friends!

The Dan river company is not open at this time and all access is that we use are closed

We charge per boat, not per person. Kayak rentals are $45 plus tax and canoe rentals are $70 plus tax.
The Dan River Company only offers kayak and canoe rental and shuttle services. The Danbury General Store offers tube rental and shuttles.
Hello, Yes the section of river we run is all class 1, nice and easy. You will run through about 30-35 rapids. the kayaks run $45 for the day. Call as soon as you know you want to go and we will set it up for you. We try to be a fun bunch are you talking about down stream from Danbury? Everyone has bad days.
