Desert Rock Garden is a moving story and the 2 actors at The New Village Arts did an amazing job! We are so glad we found this gem on our visit to Carlsbad.

This is a fantastic 99 seat theater - they have wonderful, professional production quality. And good choice of plays. And an amazing New Works Festival. Plus the neighborhood is fun to walk around. Worth hunting for parking.

my wife and I have been attending NVA for the past 10 years. we feel it's important to support live theater and the wonderful acting and the plays produced at this small venue have been rewarding not to mention entertaining. the talent in San Diego is most impressive. we are always amazed at the abilities of those behind the scenes who create the incredible sets for this intimate environment. it is a magnificent group of staff and actors that we have been privileged to watch over the years and strongly recommend people support their efforts.

While we would love to show the city the support we have in every way possible, NVA recently signed a five year lease with the city and we have grand plans for a renovation that we will be sharing in the next few months. We still appreciate any horn tooting that you might want to do on our behalf!

NVA typically has performances Thursday - Sunday. There are typically no Wednesday performances for main stage productions, which is true for the current production of Smokey Joe's Cafe. The show has been extended through March 17th.
