I had been in the market for an E-Bike for at least 2 years, and was doing lots of research. I came across this local company to my area and made one of the best purchases of my life! My son and I go everywhere on the bike. The owner Mark is friendly, personable and is willing to help with any questions, tune ups or repairs that are ever needed. I strongly recommend these E-bikes to anybody, they are built to last with quality parts. And the price point is terrific for the quality of product.

I purchased a Tailwind 3 weeks and 100 miles ago (only, due to shelter in place, my longest ride has been 34 miles). It's a great bike. I didn't like step-through before, but now I wouldn't trade it for a much pricer biked. The build quality is solid, with brand name parts, and not the low end of the spectrum (Shimano Altus and Acera, Schwalbe Marathon tires, Tektro brakes). Nothing on the bike says cheap. The torque sensor is very sensitive and the motor engages very quickly. It's strong enough for Bay Area hills, but you have to put in some work too. Range is 35-40 in my usage (mostly PAS 4, throttle for frequent stop lights), averaging 18 mph. On long stretches I ride comfortably at 21-22mph. If you ride slower, your range will be greater. I should mention the bike looks great in white color. The company is very responsive and helpful with any problems that may arise. Mark spent a good amount of time educating me about ebikes in general and my choices, via long emails and phone calls. I wanted the Venture, but he recommended against it because of my height. He offered the Tailwind, as well as alternatives from other companies. He spent some time doing research on my behalf, and seemed more interested in me getting a good bike from any company, than him making a sale. His honesty and responsiveness sealed the deal for me. Remember, there are dozens of companies out there, but you also should include in the price the customer support. I am confident that if I ever have a problem, Acey will be there for me. I wholeheartedly recommend that you buy from them!

Acey DC E-Bikes were built for riding performance. From flat resistant tires to bottom bracket torque sensor, Acey DC E-Bikes use the highest level of parts and components available. We design e-bikes for bike fanatics, like us, who love the pull of the chain and the way a bike responds precisely to your pedaling input to instantly adjust your speed. On an e-bike, this precision and "regular bike" experience is only possible when you use the most sophisticated torque sensing tech available. And we're the only brand that uses it as a standard feature on all of our models. The pedal sensing tech we use is a bottom bracket torque sensor - the same tech used on a $5,000+ mid-motor e-bike. Our unique difference is that we've combined it with a powerful geared hub-motor and throttle. We love throttles for a fast start at a busy intersection or a rolling rest break when riding. And that's why we use geared hub-motors, because even the most expensive mid-motor won't work with throttles.
Quick Answer: We're looking for a store location. Until then, test rides are by appointment only at a residence in a safe neighborhood for test riding. Call 714-485-3474 to schedule! Long Answer: In 2017, Acey DC E-Bikes started primarily as an online store, with warehousing for inventory/shipping and workspace in a garage to keep prices and overhead low. Soon, local customers heard about us from neighbors and from seeing other customers on their bikes. Suddenly, we had a stream of people coming to the residence - one flew in from Washington! - for test rides and/or to pick up e-bikes they purchased online. It not only proved our e-bikes are highly desirable for their advanced tech and quality, but we also learned that we truly need a proper store to convey the quality and service we provide. So we're currently looking for a location that has a safe area for test rides and won't cause significant price increases. Stay tuned!
