The price is very cost-effective, but there are many people in the gym and few equipment, and the dumbbells in the weight area are not very heavy.

Been charging me twice a month even when on a freeze for medical reasons. I have the paperwork to show but the staff there won’t do anything. The manager was polite but no help said I need to get a hold of corporate but wasn’t allowed to give me their number. It’s a good place but not work 46 dollars a month. I tried to cancel my account and they want 20 dollars to do so.

Horrible experience at this PF. I started as a black card member and then decided to switch to classic. This shouldn’t be rocket science… i did this with a PF staff member and thought it was sorted out. Months later, i notice through my bank statement that i was still getting charged as a black card member for the past 4-6 months.. a manger supposedly “helps” me out with this by refunding me the amount and offering a month or 2 for free and said i’d be billed as classic again. I go today to switch my location to somewhere else, and notice that i was still getting charged black membership. I wasn’t told by the PF staff member Sarah H about that, i almost had to catch that myself and notice what’s going on. She then tells me about the manager being unavailable, to try and find customer service # myself, and that it was me to blame for the issue because of an expired card thing… I come to ask how i was supposed to know that and she had no response. The manager then pops out of his office room (she said he wasn’t available..) and made it seem like I was the problem somehow and that this has never happened, that he’s offered me multiple refunds at this point (it was one..), and like i was such an inconvenience given my case. I cancelled my subscription and will be signing up somewhere else. The staff at this PF are all very young and are either not present (multiple times Ive been with no one at the entrance or the gym) or they’re playing and laughing with each other. It’s such a bad look for PF tbh, no one’s asking for 24/7 serious staff but still.. its a bit too extra at this location. Its nice that they’re all friends but all they do is play around with each other.

This gym isn't terrible if you mostly rely on machines and not so much free weights. Anyway, I got up at 4 this morning and got here at 4:30am to take advantage of this 24 hr location. The problem is, it's 5:13am and they are still not open. Someone forgot to wake up this morning? I've seen plenty of cars just drive by confused as well. Keep in mind it's a Monday morning. I was on the fence about going back to 24 hr fitness bc they have a better gym/equipment but not every location is open 24 hours. Also it's a bit pricier but nothing that's going to eat me alive either. Long story short, I'm going back to 24. The one in fountain valley is open 24 hrs if I really need it.

I haven't seen anything like that for the past year I've been going here.
Yes, feel the same way, the staff is always talking to freinds and dont to much cleaning, and the security in the parking lot constantly harrass's you and threaten to cancel your membership if you sit in your car for more that two minutes after leaving the gym.Not the best experience
It was reopened around the time you asked the question. However, unreasonable state tyranny might force them to be out of business.
Hi, there. Stop by at the club for a tour and try a workout. Here is a free Day Pass: https://daypass.planetfitness.com/.
Though I'm new there, equipment is always available throughout the different areas (cardio, weights, etc) and at different times of the day.
Hi there! Although we'd hate to see you go, you can cancel one of two ways. Either in person or through the mail. Since you are unable to access our club in person, we would recommend cancelling through the mail. Although we are closed, we are still getting mail. To cancel your membership by mail, all you would need to do is place the signed letter in a stamped envelope in your mailbox and our club will handle your cancellation request accordingly. As for the contents of the letter, we ask that you put your name, the reason for canceling, contact information, and your written signature. If you would like a confirmation of when we receive the letter, make sure to use certified mail so that they will notify you when we get your letter. We hope this helps!
Hi cocconut! We do not yet have a specific re-opening date. Stay tuned to our website for more information: https://www.planetfitness.com/es/gyms/costa-mesa-ca
Hi! We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please get in touch with our management on your next visit so that this can be addressed expeditiously.
Yes, members and guests are required to wear a mask and in accordance with local restrictions. We are now open!
Thank you for reaching out, Leina! Members must be over the age of 13 to join. For members aged 13-17, the first time they come into the club, they must have a parent/guardian present to sign the membership agreement to keep in member’s file. Minors 13-15 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at every visit! Minors that sign up online must have a parent accompany them to sign their waiver at their first visit!
Yes, they offered me a 3 day pass.
No. Personal trainers are free. It is not the same as the expensive personal trainer who yells at you to work out. They also do not spend half their time bugging you to buy more sessions.
This place is open 24-7, however, the back entrance off College is only available 7 AM to 9 PM, which may be the confusion.
