I visited this museum with my friends and I had a wonderful experience. It is young kid-oriented but as a 17 y/o the exhibits still captivated me nonetheless and I had so much fun. The museum has a heavy emphasis on marine life and has several aquariums, with little exhibits on other topics. My favorite part of the museum was the interactive activities scattered throughout, it's very fun to learn via playing around with them. Although, a GOOD chunk of those machines were faulty or totally non-functional (heart rate monitors are inaccurate in MeLaß, broken blood splatter contraption in Sherlock Holmes (isn't that exhibit new?)). In general, the museum looks in disrepair in some parts and lacks polish. For having 6 floors, the exhibits are minimal and I truly thought we had missed something until I checked back at the map. With such a priority on marine exhibits the other exhibits are not given much love & care and have little (with the exception of maybe Sherlock Holmes); I was kind of disappointed with the aviary and the Mammoth exhibit, both looked as if they were thrown in. It's definitely not the high-end museum I was expecting Frost to be if you also thought so. And honestly, I wouldn't have cared about all this if it weren't for the 30$ entrance fee for people 12+. That's grossly overpriced. I wanted to come here again with my family so they could experience it but it would total out to over 100+$ for a family of 4. Don't get me wrong, I had an amazing experience here despite my complaints but I don't think I'll be coming back. As a science enthusiast, I can say it's probably not worth returning, but for a first time, it is really great.

Fantastic place without a doubt. All floors have something amazing to look at. Special mention to the jellyfishes and the open spaces on the top floor where you're really close to birds and fishes. It's a total delight Also, be sure to go to the roof for some amazing views. Totally recommended

Had a wonderful day at the museum. I would recommend it for families with kids is very kid friendly and they have a lot hands on activities for the little ones. The shows are worth it, if you can go to all of them 100% recommend, my suggestion is sit somewhere in the middle to get the best view. One of the highlights for me was the Sherlock Holmes experience they currently have, is very interactive and hands on, complete the challenges to solve the mystery. Overall would recommend, it was a beautiful day, I would say set aside 4 to 5 hours of your day to explore and spend the day there so you can see all they have to offer and don't worry it seems like a long time but time flies when you are learning and having fun.

Amazing place! My 9 year old son and I spent almost 5 hours there and were really impressed by a lot of exhibits. There is an aquarium, all sorts of informational and interesting things to do. The movie with a dome screen was amazing!!! Even cafeteria lunch was great as it included really healthy options too with grilled salmon, brown rice, fresh avocado and very reasonably priced! ))). Definitely would recommend.

Veterans get in free with proof and get discount for the Planetarium shows.
The aquarium is through all the middle section of the museum, you can see different angles in every floor. So I don't think there is a ticket just for the aquarium as the aquarium is part of the structure of the museum.

Marco, with the Miami Dade Public Library Card you can get the FREE MUSEUM PASS. Thats how I always go to THIS museum and many others for free. 1 pass is good for a family of 4 (either kids or adults). Good Luck :)
It's best to go to the public library and be checking online for their passes to the museum and it's free. You just need to have your library card and keep checking online to make sure the library has that pass for the frost science museum and it's good for 2 adults and 2 children. I have gone to this museum thanks to the public library for offering free museum passes.
Yes. They will particularly enjoy the Rivers of Grass exhibit.
You only get one show per day , surprise!
For adults $28, for kids 3 and up to 11 $20, children 2 and under free and members are free.
Gladys, it is always necessary to get the tickets, but it is worth it 👍
yes by bayside marketplace area it's walking distance to the museum if you're looking for a cheaper parking.
For sure. IMAX shows and aquarium are good. I mean you'll need to be into this kind of stuff, but it's all well designed

3-4 hrs...depending on how many planetarium shows you see.
They currently have an exhibit called "Mechanicals" which are amazing moving figurines and the science behind the mechanisms that make them move. The aquarium is absolutely amazing, and is visible throughout all five levels of the museum. The Planetarium has three different shows, I watched "To Space and Back" and it was really good. The whole exhibit about flight is also very entertaining. There's a great exhibit about well being of your body and mind. The terrace lots of animals and aa amazing view of the bay. All in all, be prepared to spend a whole day in the museum, it will be fun and educational.
Yes.i saw on Facebook that they will be open. Check their website for details.

There is a parking lot beneath the science museum and the Perez art museum. It's not very big so if you go at a busy time, it may be filled.
There are interactive displays good for all ages, the solar display on the roof was very interesting, there is an aquarium and numerous marine exhibits. Also, there's a planetarium with a variety of sky shows. There was an exhibit about man and flying that was there at the beginning of October, I don't know how long it runs. The views of the area from the upper levels was fabulous.
Hi Lucy, if you're referring to the Adults Only Overnight on October 18, there is no formal dress code but appropriate attire is required throughout the night. Thanks!
That was something I didnt know. I took the transit last time I was visiting Miami and it was very convenient and I got to relax and look at the area.
