I was about to sign a lease for an apartment at this apartment and I'm glad that I backed out now. I had a house that I liked and the leasing consultant that was assigned to me was Rachel Rodriguez. My initial experience was smooth as she gave us a virtual tour of the apartment at the scheduled time. I was even about to ignore all the bad Google rating that this apartment has received as I liked the location and the house. I wanted a clarification on the amenity fee discount ($300) as the website and apartments.com gave two different information about the discount. Just called her back asking if those discounts apply for this new lease. The moment I asked these questions, she started answering rudely and I'm still surprised if she was showing someone else's frustration on me. There was absolutely no need to be so rude. OMG!! Guess they all need to take a 101 course on ethics and professional behaviour. If my initial experience was only like this, then just imagine staying there for about an year and having to see her in person in the leasing office. Thank heavens!

The leasing office was respectful, and I have absolutely no complaints there. The units themselves, however, are absolutely dreadful, not to mention the website displays inaccurate information regarding apartment availability. Due to policies, they refused to let us tour the specific unit they wanted to sell us, and took us to a different one for a tour. The unit in question had noticeable watery-mold smell, in addition to a paint job thats just been ostensibly painted over the previous layers. The door locks were so "gummy" that it took the leasing agent three minutes to open the unit. The fact that this was their "upgraded unit," and price quotes being approximately $300 more per month than what was on their website are the sprinkles and icing on the cake for this absolutely spine chilling community. I want to re-iterate that the leasing office is not to blame. Whoever is in charge: these units should not be going for north of $1200 including Reston area tax, let alone $1900. Inquisitive renters, stay away.

We've had a great experience so far. The touring and leasing process was smooth, and every one was really helpful and kind. They even sent us photos of our unit a few days prior to move in to get a sense of the colors and the view, since we had toured a "model" unit - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

Originally we loved staying at Stuart Woods. This was before we know about the rat issues. At first I noticed a live rat outside of the apartment, which we called the office about. They stated that they have traps up around the building and regular pest control. I was fine with trapping the rat on the patio under an unused flower pot until it could be handled by maintenance. We had a rat die on the patio of our apartment before I could trap it. We called the office in order to try to get the corpse removed. However, the office employee proceeded to tell us that we were to remove the rat ourselves. I was in complete disbelief. I cannot wait for our lease to end so we can move out of here. Unfortunately, in order to break our lease it would be around $5000.
