Clean, roomy and large kitchen. Separate bar area. We used this space for a birthday party. It worked out perfectly.

No diving board? That was a good part of why my family moved here, apparently the older people that don't even use it secretly voted to remove it. Not fair to the children. It is boring to them without it.

I lived there long ago.I spent most of my time writing and did make some observations: I would never buy into a complex controlled by an HOA, as to me you can never really own your own 'home'. Even after it is paid off, you are subject to monthly homeowner dues until you can sell it , or you pass away. The HOA fees go up from year to year (The fees were about $30/mo.in the 70's - when the Village was finally completed - and are now $420/mo.; my guess is that in ten more years HOA fees will be $570. It would be a lot cheaper to by a house in a neighborhood with city owned streets, walkways, parks, etc.verses living in a privately run community - if you are young,it has it's drawbacks: There are no schools or major family shopping centers within this area. If I was fairly well-to-do and nearing retirement age,or older and ready to settle down, I might consider Friars Village. It would also be a very good investment opportunity as USD is right across the street and often two or three students with affordable incomes would rather rent out a village unit than be confined to expensive dorms or nearby luxury apt.complexes that charge exorbitant monthly rental fees.

Well-maintained and cleanly. The HOA was immediately responsive, offering to replace my lost clubhouse access key and parking permit after the last owner misplaced them. The clubhouse itself is nice and homey with pool access. Big thanks to Lance Miller who coordinated my welcome into the community. I was immediately provided HOA instructions and paperwork on a whim. Very excited about the coming exterior improvements and events to hosted.
