Customer Service - Was directed today by a helpful employee working upstairs to a rack with discounted board shorts for my son. The shorts were all priced $39.99. Another employee helped us at that the discount rack for sizing which we appreciated. We took the shorts up to the register and they rang up @ $55.00 which I realized after I paid for them. I realized this before leaving the store. So I asked the girl at the register to please honor the $39.99 price but she wouldn't. Her explanation was that some customer must have put those shorts in the discount area. I even asked another employee for help with the price and he gave the same programmed answer. My thoughts are, more than likely an employee forgot to mark the shorts down. We all make mistakes but she chose to place blame with the customer. I wouldn't be shocked if she didn't know that customers are why she has a paycheck. I have spent a ton of money in this store over the years for clothes for my son and myself. We have also purchased skateboards & other apparel such as hats. This isn't the 1st time I've had a bad experience with pricing. I gave them another chance today because they are mom and pop owned. However I really don't think we will be back again. The employees have a bad outlook concerning how they view customers. I have a feeling it is directly passed down from the ownership here. I am 46 years old, my son and air were followed around the store like we were about to steal something. Considering our experience today we will not be back. We know how the staff feel about customers so they'll likely not care anyway. By the way I own a local business too and like this business get paid by customers. We value ours however and I'll pass along my experience today.

They have some good stuff here, but they have a terrible return policy. With tags on and receipt it’s store credit or exchange only. I know other stores that do that, but they train the staff to tell each customer prior to purchase so they’re aware of the policy. I feel it’s kind of shady business to not verbally tell each customer if your policy is different than the norm. I got a swimsuit and shorts without trying it on in store because of Covid and it didn’t fit right. I wanted to return it and nope. So, if you shop here be prepared to keep it. I wish that I had known that before I dropped that much money.

I grew up coming to Hanger 94. They have an unbeatable selection of clothes and gear. But their return policy is a nightmare. No refunds, only store credit. I got sold on an Oakley helmet and when I got home to try it on with my setup it didn't fit right and was a little choking. I brought it back to exchange it and the sales rep looked at it then helped me try on a few others. Once I picked one out I went to the front exchange it. The girl at the front said I couldn't exchange it bc it had too many scratches although i had never actually worn it riding. I mentioned the sales guy had looked at it and gave the okay and the manager replied "hes just a sales rep". Does that mean i shouldnt have listened when they first sold me on the helmet? So I'm stuck with a helmet I can't wear and can't return. A huge waste of time and money. If you know what you want then Hanger is great. If you aren't sure then I recommend shopping elsewhere so you can return it if it doesn't work out.

Mike in the wetsuits really helped me find the perfect one for my needs. He was so awesome and made my purchase experience a true 5-star experience. On the other hand, the cashier who checked me out needs a total attitude shift. He looked like he hated his job and wanted me out of there. Not to throw any shade but he needs an attitude change. No one likes being around people like that especially coworkers.
