I was in Reading PA for a weekend getaway, Our guide suggested Chatty Monks & I am thrilled he did, Our server Nicole was wonderful & very engaging, The food was so good, especially the pretzel croutons, What a unique idea. Their hard seltzers are outstanding, I had the Vanilla Seltzer & man was it good. I had a few of them. The also have a pretzel beer called Split Face which we got samples, It was delicious. If you are in the Reading area stop by for some outstanding food & beverages!

We always stop in at least once when we visit Reading… Always having a variety of beer and great service! Wide variety of food to choose from. Love the atmosphere here as well! The only improvements I could see is the merch, more cool options are needed.

Chatty monks is SO GOOD. I came in and was kindly greeted by Miranda, who was taking care of the bar when I came in. I ordered the Tikka masala and a few beers. The prices were fantastic, the beers were great, the menu was awesome, but most importantly Miranda made my experience incredible. You can tell she is so passionate and cares so much about the service and experience you receive. Definitely come in a weekend night and ask for Miranda for the best time!

Busy time - Chatty Monks was happening today during West Reading Ice’n spice festival. Malik got us situated with a table and high chair for my grand daughter and service by Chris super good. Look at the Monk tapping a beer!!! Recommend the Narcissist beer and best appetizer I enjoyed: Tandori Chicken. Good drinks and food and fairly priced in cozy settings. Ice sculptures on the avenue are super super cool - come out to see now before they’re gone !
