I stayed at this place for a week and a half I got a job my job allows me to work but at 6:00 in the morning this place tells me I cannot leave at 5:00 in the morning because of the rules why does a Christian place not allow you to go to work when I know I know I know that they have doors that I can go outside without bothering anybody this place is a joke they're not here to help you they're only here to take your money

The director has no clue what she is doing

I would give this place a negative rating if I could. If you have mental disorders, or are physically impaired, don't expect accomidations. Their rules come first. If you miss a scheduled program, such as devotional, 4pm chores, church, chapel or clean up, you receive a strike. If you get 3 strikes, you're kicked out. If you are psychotic, crippled or simply forgetful, you will find yourself out in the rain. If you work, they will not make any exceptions for you or your schedule. If you work past the curfew time, you will receive a strike, and will have to stay out all night. Don't expect a shower after a late shift. Don't expect them to save you a meal if you're working. Expect to be asked to leave after a couple of paychecks, even if you have not found a place to live, or even have enough saved to pay for an apartment. Certain homeless residents are appointed as staff, to tattle and berate the others who are seen as low-class people. The director seems to pick people for staff that are easy to manipulate, as she micro-manages every aspect of the facility. Her morals are highly questionable. This place receives no government funding, which means the director does not have to adhere to regulations regarding humanitarian conduct. They do whatever they want, including making up new rules and striking residents for petty things. They place people with health concerns, like COPD, emphazima, chronic pain and issues with mobility at risk, making little to no considerations for them, and putting them out on the street like criminals, sometimes without their medications or belongings. Avoid, if you can.

Women here are very mean. Not a place I feel truly wants to help people. They are banking off of grants. An abundance of food in an area where it is needed but still the homeless would rather go without then be demised, ridiculed, and shunned. But the people that take the time and volunteer their time for worship are wonderful.

I'm not sure how much influence the government has with this shelter, but I do know that the women who run it and the THE House seem to have a very strange selfish agenda. They make rules as they go along. What applies to one individual does not apply to another. I don't think that it should be shut down but it definitely needs to be better managed by non judgmental men and women. I really don't think that Jennifer, the director, knows what she's doing.
yes
Not that I am aware of. Sorry. You might try some of the churches
No
Is there a schedule to get a place to sleep?
