My first contact was a phone call. They were so helpful. Looking forward to a face to face meeting.

Although my late father passed on 5/5/14 and funeral was bit later, I wasnt in my right mind and only remember the flag presentation by a enlisted Marine and the rifle salute...I never got the chance to fully thank the staff for everything they did to help lay my father to his final resting place in the columbarium wall and the location of the cemetary in such a quiet and peaceful area....Being a Veteran myself, I fully appreciated the staffs patience with me and giving my dad the proper respect and thanks and memorial he deserved.... Thank You to all the staff at The Washington Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wa.

Wonderful service provided for my father today. The grounds are beautiful and restful.

On Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:00 PM, Wreaths Across America will be at Washington State Veterans Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
Gets pretty windy out there so for longer lasting flowers get something with sturdy stems and stand.
Thank you for your questions. Our goal is to ensure that every veteran or family member interred in our Veterans Cemetery is provided the utmost dignity and respect throughout the process. Interments that fall outside of a casket, urn or scattering must be handled on a case by case basis with the funeral director, Veterans Cemetery and next of kin. You can find more information about our State Veterans Cemetery online at: http://www.dva.wa.gov/cemetery

Like any other, basically an honorable discharge or death from active duty. Does include coast guard and merchant marine.
Burial in the Washington State Veterans Cemetery – Medical Lake is open to all members of the armed forces who have met a minimum active duty service requirement and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. For veterans, the Federal VA provides the following: •Burial plot or columbarium niche •Concrete liner for casket burials •Opening and closing of the grave •Perpetual care of the gravesite •Inscribed gravestone •30 minute committal service All other funeral expenses are paid by the Veteran’s family or estate. For spouses or dependent children, $300.00 will be collected on the day of interment.
Hello Bev, Thank you for your question. Here is a link to the available emblems https://www.cem.va.gov/cem/hmm/emblems.asp Thank you
Uniformity. We have positioned all markers so the initial inscription faces southward regardless of whether it is the veteran or spouse. Upon the second interment of a family member in an occupied plot, the veteran’s inscription is positioned to face southward.

Yes at 11 a.m. but I would get there early because of parking. There is also a service at Pine Cemetery in the Spokane Valley. On 16th and Pines. Our American Legion Post has a service at 11 a.m. by the veterans wall near the mausoleum. The public is invited
As many as you like.
I don't know. What about Veterans Day November 11th?
