Google maps does not get you to the train station. Check Waze or Apple instead. It took us to the street below the train station, as it’s in an industrial area and difficult to find.

Train was delayed for 5 hours. Nice staff but limited updates on our train. Also, the outdoors area on the left side where you board for the Spokane/Chicago trains are very sketchy and dangerous. Lastly, it is sickening to know that the station closes at 8 pm even if you train is late.

I really want to like riding the train; however, out of the 4 tries I've given Amtrak, there have been serious issues. My first attempt at riding the train, it broke down, and I had to take a lyft (on my own dime and plan) to a bus station to ride the bus to my destination (refund issued, did not ride train). The second ride was an uneventful and a pleasant trip on the train, which is exactly what I hoped for. The third trip had issues with the track, which caused an hour and a half delay (for a normally 2.5 hour train ride). Now...the fourth ride... This trip, too, had an issue with the track, so the train went back to my original departure location. We were told that we would have to take a bus to our destination instead of the train. At no time during this incident were we provided any information projecting when the bus may arrive in lieu of the train. Because of this we we're afraid of leaving the station to eat in fear of missing the bus. On this approximately 2.5 hour train ride, it wasn't until 5 hours later that the bus arrived to now make the 3.5-hour drive (now rush hour traffic conditions). After arriving more than 8 hours after our original scheduled arrival time (on a bus that leaked water onto my luggage) , Amtrak refused to refund the fare because I was eventually transported to my destination, which is not untrue... In conclusion, if you're okay with a 1:4 good to bad ratio, you don't have a schedule to keep, and you don't mind brain damaging customer service logic than alllllll aboard!

Hi Stuart. Yes. The Empire Builder # 28 (eastbound) arrives in Vancouver, WA at 5:07 PM (if it's on time.) I would arrive at the station anywhere from a half an hour to an hour early, if you're checking any baggage.
Hi Dale. I would say that you should be there no later than 8:00 AM (usually a half an hour early works well if you're not checking any bags.)
Yes it is true
I did not take one just answered the prescreen question on-line.
Go ask the amtrak agent.. if he hasn't seen it then assume that someone else is now claiming as there property..
Yes, I believe you can. But I would still call the train station just to make sure...
You can leave your car in the Amtrak lot, no problem.
There is the train is number 28 the empire builder
Here is the link https://www.amtrak.com/stations/van?stop_mobi=yes&ref=stop_mobile
Not at the train station
The train station?
There is an Amtrak train that leaves on the am for Seattle. Just go to the Amtrak websight or app and the schedules are there.
According to the train station staff, if you are planning to leave your car for a day, as long as you don't park in reserved spots or ones with marked hours, then YES IT IS SAFE 👌👍😀!
Yes The railroad police patrol the area too
Go into the station they will help you
Yes you can. It is my understanding ten short term and forty-five long term (seven days is what the station attendant told me) spaces are available free of charge.
Define affordable. There are a few hotels in downtown Vancouver, there is a Hilton, a Comfort Inn and an Econo Lodge
Yes, 1301 W 11th St, Vancouver WA is the correct address. (But if you are mapping directions, searching "Amtrak Vancouver Station" should give better results. The street address is not precise for mapping.)
Other Google users aren't going to know the exact answer to that. I'd call the Station.... Or go online
