my son recently was taken seriously ill very suddenly and i rushed him to this ER in the middle of the night when it was clear he was in crisis and heading in the wrong direction. it was the only facility open in the area. full disclosure: i am informed. i am not a medical professional. i was truly afraid and not thinking clearly. notwithstanding, from the moment of our arrival, there were things that should have happened that didn’t, things that did happen that shouldn’t have, and things that needed to happen and eventually did but not nearly as quickly as common sense standards of care would dictate. i was told 2, maybe 3 times that it was very busy, that staff were doing their best, but overall the er seemed fairly quiet and mostly deserted to me throughout that long night, and the dots just weren’t connecting. i don’t want to be unfair here, and i’m very grateful for the treatment he ultimately received that stabilized him and allowed him to be discharged the next morning, but the experience was not in any way reassuring, and there was little about it to recommend. i would not return in the future unless no better options were available.

Me and my fiancee had our first baby here and every experience from begining to end was absolutely magical.

I had chest pains about a month ago and went to the ER at SMHC to make sure everything was ok (it was). I was the only one in the ER, except for one that came in off the ambulance four hours in. I was there for four hours. I had to wait 2 hours for an X-Ray. I totally understand of someone comes in who needs extreme attention, but I feel like chest pain is pretty severe. The service is always slow and you would think it would get better with COVID because they want you there less and less minor injury patients. I mean all I can say is, they cost me a shift on a time and half day, so they suck.

I went there with MRSA they said I had a stomach bug. I almost died at a different hospital less than a week later Because the ER staff was lazy and didn’t help me. The Dr. On duty should be tarred and feathered.
