We spoke with Diane both at pick up and drop off, one of the first experiences with the people at Portland, even though it was her second day working here our experience with her was genuine and she was a good person, she even helped us out heavily in our time of need, there were other persons we talked to there at Dollar/Hertz that weren't as accommodating and she was there to help us right away. I'd say she's a keeper at that location, especially because we'd come back to rent from her any day.

In today's crazy world of travel, this Hertz suffers much like most places. The check out line was extraordinary long and there were very few cars on hand, even for those with reservations. Luckily we were able to get something similar to our reservation and in just over an hour and a half waiting in line I was out the door. I hope they are able to get their staffing and more importantly their inventory in order. I have rented from this location many a times and feel that they are constantly plagued with inventory issues.

We’ve used this Hertz at least 4 times in the last two years and every time the staff has been excellent. The cars have been clean and ready to go. If you’re looking for a higher end rental, they have those too for affordable prices. Shoutout to the staff always giving us friendly tips.

Never again. Lost my status with National after not traveling during COVID. Boss suggested I try Hertz. Only took two rentals before I realized I made a mistake. Running back to National as fast as I can. Tired dirty cars. 31,000 mile Equinox that smelled like wet dog and the tires were borderline unsafe. Had to call customer service to extend my rental by a day. That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back. Customer service is in Pakistan or somewhere like that. Barely spoke English. The icing on the cake was there was no one there when I returned the car. I look around and see a keep drop box with instructions to not leave keys in car. I put the keys in the drop box and 2 days later get a charge for $275 for missing keys. Went back to airport to dispute it. Asked why they didn’t call me? They claim they didn’t have a phone number on file?!! I signed up for the Gold Club, rented 2 cars and you didn’t ask me for a phone number? When is the last time you signed up for any membership program and didn’t have to provide a number. Less than helpful at the counter too. Nothing they can do. Had to make the keys so you’re getting charged. I’ll let Amex dispute the charge. I am not paying them for keys they lost.

No earthly idea. This is probably the single worst Hertz location on the planet. I consistently have the worst experience at this location and dread using them. Zero customer service skills. I am a President's Circle member and still get treated like dirt. My colleagues have taken it up with their upper management and get no reply. They truly do not care. They could care less, but that would take effort.

Hertz is directly below baggage pickup. They have an elevator, no bus needed. The cars are located behind the pickup counter in a parking lot.
