New workers at the front were chatting about personal problems, while making you wait in line after seeing you but wait until they are done with their gossip to assist you, very unprofessional. The lady’s at the makeup section exceptional helpers though, especially the Turkish lady 🤍

What happened was, I went into the store knowing I wanted kinship sunscreen. I was directed by an employee that they were at the front of the store by the “stop and go section”. To my excitement, there was a paper that said “30% off KINSHIP products” DIRECTLY on the section where several sunscreens were placed. When I went to check out, it wasn’t scanning that it was 30% off. I asked to show the cashier the sign that was directly underneath the placed products & after several second reading the small print, she says it’s only the larger size that qualifies. I point out there were two ranges of prices that said were on sale, ex. “$26-44”. How does that make sense if only one size is on sale? I asked to speak to someone else hoping they’d honor it. The store manager takes a look at it & says “that’s all the other kinship products…this one doesn’t qualify because of the size”. How does that make sense when there’s only 1 kinship product placed near the sign? I asked him if he would honor it due to the placing of the sign and products and he says, “I’m sorry my love, there’s nothing I can do about it.” & then goes on to crumple the paper sign & throws it away. Not only is this false advertisement, but to have the audacity to call me “his love”. Completely unprofessional. Not only do I want this sale honored, but I want to be compensated for the time it’s taken to write up and call about this complaint. My time is just as valuable as anyone else’s.

This was my first time shopping for makeup at ulta. The ladies there were quite nice! While they were out of stock of what I was wanting to try, they still pointed me in the right direction of something better. I must've looked lost but they always asked if I needed help, which I did, and two of the ladies were super knowledgeable about what I was looking for. I wish I had gotten their names but the lady who worked today in the tarte makeup section and a blonde woman who was with her both helped me find the perfect foundation. I'll definitely be back!

Last fall I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. While I knew loosing my hair would happen, I wasn't expecting my eyelashes to go too. Over the past several weeks, my eyes have been watering & even hurting due to the loss of my eyelashes, so I thought about getting fake eyelashes to help. Unfortunately, I have never been a makeup user & have zero knowledge or experience to know which eyelashes would work or how to apply them. I thought going to a professional makeup store would be the best option. When I walked in, there were four employees at the register area. Another was helping a customer at a makeup counter. I walked around until I found the eyelash section & started looking at the various options they had. At one point, another employee walked in front of me to grab & scan two items from that section. She didn't ask if I needed help & barely said anything at all to me. After standing there confused at what to pick out or do, I walked out. As I was leaving, that one employee was just around the corner of the isle I was on talking to another employee. The four women who were at the register area were still there: one was checking out a customer & the other three were talking. I left feeling defeated & ignored, on top of still trying to recover from my last chemo treatment less than a week ago. I've worked customer service before & this was one of the worst I've experienced. Spend your money where you are valued & helped. This store is not one of them.
