Very unfriendly people here and awful people in the neighborhood.

Beautifully preserved home of Winslow Homer that gives you a feeling of the inspiration he got from the setting. No original art in the studio.

Beware. This studio is barely available - only two days a week by reservation which are booked a month or more in advance. And there is no parking so forget about taking the cliff walk. None of this is apparent from the website.

Fun visit to Winslow Homer's studio seeing the inspiration for later work and learned more about him as an artist. Arranged through Portland Art Museum, pricy at $65 for non-member, ($40 for member.). Studio very bare. have liked to have seen easel with art supplies and more personal objects.

Sorry Harry I'm no expert, however calling Winslow Homers studio or the nearby museum might be a good start. Good luck.
I'm not sure if the hours and fees. It's soooo worth the effort! It was really a magical place!!
Maybe it was off hours or we attended as guests of the Black Sand Hotel but I don't remember a fee being charged. We were the only ones there other than the attendant at the time. Don't miss going if you have the opportunity. The experience is unforgetable.
