Knowledgeable, friendly staff - well stocked cool vibe store! A friend recommended I get started by going to this site and I am very happy I followed that idea!

Conveniently located near downtown Portsmouth I always swing by for supplies when I'm in the area. Clean, well organized store with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. There's also a couple free parking spots for when you're shopping.

Update: I will leave my original review below as context, but have updated my opinion to a 5 star review of A and G Homebrew Supplies (Earth's Eagle Brewing) based on the several interactions after my first impression. I left my original review on google. It was responded to by one of the owners, Gretchen. She was quite professional and seemed concerned about my experience at their shop. We also further conversed via messaging. She was exceedingly polite and seemed to want to fix my issues. I stopped into the store today and met her and her husband, Alex. Both were actually quite pleasant and helpful. They corrected the issue with my brew kit and then spent quite some time helping educate me about grain brewing, kegerator components, and other home brew topics. They were very polite and did not seem like they were selling or pushing anything; rather, they genuinely seemed to want to help me. I purchased some items incliding some magazines discussing grain brews recipes and grabbed more of their delicious beer. I left with a far, far better impression of this brew shop. That being said, I normally might have upped my original 2 Star review to a 4 star review based on Gretchen and Alex helping me out. However, the way in wich they helped me out made me far more impressed. These are some good people. I will go back now, for sure. ----------------------- Original review: Dissappointed. Went to the shop on a gift certificate from a friend, hoping to up my home brew game. Had a lot of questions - gentleman at the counter was nice but did not have a lot of answers. I have done home brew kits and have a kegarator, so was looking for help to get to next level. He did not know much about line parts I needed for carbonating. He did not have much advice to go to all grain brewing. Also bought a home brew kit that he packed up with the stores grain but he shorted me on dried malt extract, so couldnt brew. I bought their canned beer there that was fantastic or this would have been a 1 star review. Based on the poor service - for a home brew shop - I wont go back. But I would def drink the beer again.

What can't I say about A&G? This place is great. - all the grain is in bins and they will weigh out exactly what you need - no buying prepackaged grain and ending up with leftovers - They'll crush it for you in no time flat - Super yeast assortment - Super hop assortment - All the weird little all-grain and kegging doohickeys you'll need - and likely some you didn't know you needed. - Carboys in every size you can think of - Wine making stuff, too - Fascinating selection of magazines & books - incredibly fair prices on everything. - Super friendly, awesome owners! Alex and Gretchen are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Seriously. I live in MA and I go out of my way to shop at A&G.

Hi Joe, The smallest we offer is a 2.5 lb tank and that's an exchange (we don't fill on site). Thanks for checking with us. Cheers
Yes, they will mill grain if you want.
