Disaster from start to finish. Car wasn't available when we arrived. Waited for over 90 mins for them to call around and find one at another yard, before they put us in a Lyft across town to collect a type of car we didn't order. The staff were somewhat helpful, but didn't seem to care a great deal about the fact they had failed to provide the vehicle we ordered. The car itself wasn't awful, but the windshield and interior was not a clean as we expected. This is mostly no doubt due to the staff at the alternate location though. The drop-off was however another complete disgrace. We spent well over 2 hours on the phone with Hertz to simply try to change the drop-off location (after all, they didn't seem to care about availability when we picked it up). We were passed from operator to operator, and in the end weren't able to arrange anything. To top it off, when we were finally connected to this location (no number available online, and apparently closed according to Google), the staff member we dealt with couldn't have been more rude. Simply put, we will not be dealing with Hertz again. I would rather eat a car than deal with that again.

Called a day in advanced to confirm the availability of a car we were ready to purchase because of the multi hour drive - only to arrive and figure out it was at a Herz across the state at a different location. Soon enough, we were being physically swarmed by the brainless corporate sale people, not letting even leave. We made our way back into our vehicle to leave the location. As we’re pulling out, we see someone literally sprinting out of the building towards our car, waving paperwork for a completely different vehicle they also stated they originally had, but didn’t.

Representatives behind the desk were great when picking up but if you have a question be prepared to not be able to get ahold of them. You will call a service center that can barely understand you. Also after returning the vehicle I was charged for fuel when car was returned with more fuel than was given to us. And when asked for reimbursement for the charge no one can help you.

It's hard to imagine a worse experience. I had received email confirmation about my car pick-up earlier in the day, and when I arrived, they told me they had no car for me. The people who arrived after me also were told no car. The agent was not helpful. She said Hertz local and Hertz national do not communicate about inventory. She didn't even help us find a car at another location and was curt and unfriendly. I ended up spending 2X of my original rental price because I had to book a same day at another location. Posting about this so that others don't suffer the same outcome.

Usually, it's already included in your fee. However, it's best to call the company's customer service department to make sure.
Generally a credit card and valid driver's license. Must be over 25 I believe
Yes but the fee is expensive. Check website. Also if your a AAA member you get a good discount but book on AAA website. I have also better luck with Hertz on West Sahara
You should call Hertz and complain I'm sure they will attempt to make everything right
