Just brought my son by for for first time. Drove by quite a few times and thought the place looked interesting. It was interesting and the food was great. I didn't catch the name of the server but he was really awesome as well. Definitely going back!

We couldn't find a good eating place to sit down and have food & beer on a Monday in Salem area. Finally found one. McMenamins is a great go-to option. Service was friendly and food was good. A little on the spendy side but they had happy hour prices while we were there.

Came for lunch just before noon on a Monday… it didn’t seem too busy but waiting to be seated, getting water, getting our order taken, everything took way too long. Then our waitress disappeared and a different server took over and told us they were backed up and the manager was helping out with cooking. I’m sure it didn’t help that a large group that was seated after us got their order in before us. We did get our food about 40 minutes after we arrived, it was fine but not worth the wait. P.S. They also forgot my drink, but it wasn’t on the bill thankfully!

On our drive back home from Portland, we got pretty hungry and wanted to stop in Salem for lunch. Most of the places we wanted to try in Central Area were pretty busy, and we didn't want to wait too long. I pulled out my phone to search restaurants outside of that area and found this McMenamins! We love McMenamins, so it was an easy decision to make once I knew there was one in town. We got there around 2:00 pm, and to our surprise, it wasn't very busy (at least inside). We were seated immediately and had pretty fast service. As always, our food was delicious as we'd expect from McMenamins, and the vibe inside the restaurant was very cozy. It kind of made me want to stay and nap before continuing our drive. I had the french onion soup, which was very warm and delicious, and their burger with a fried egg. My wife had the gyro, and my mother-in-law had a turkey sandwich. I also had the opportunity to try a new beer here, which was very good (Dulce Dorata - Blonde Ale). I loved the inside of the restaurant since it reminded me of the McMenamins on High Street in Eugene. I also noticed that they had outside seating, and it looked like they may have had some fire pits outside. Now that I know this place is here, I won't hesitate to come back if I'm in Salem!

I actually just called Thompson brewery about that last week. I was told they have them, and I got one. So Thompson Brewery🤘
They spray disinfectant on each table before a new group sits down. All employees wear masks. You can have your mask off when you sit down
Boon's has better inside seating. Both have enjoyable outside seating, if it's not raining.
No it does not
I don't believe in ghosts, but the staff tell me the old lady haunts the basement in particular. The door to the basement is over by the restrooms.
