Great service. I called them about a deed transfer and prop 19. They were super helpful and walked me thru the two new Prop19 forms. They saved me time, money and headaches doing it correctly the first time. Call first, before you go in. Both the Assessors Office and County Clerks Office have people to walk you thru and help you with all the forms you need to fill out.

AMAZING!!! I can not say enough about Maria M, Appraiser 2 who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I had lots of questions and she did an amazing job explaining how things work and how my property was assessed. She even went the extra mile to find additional documents that were super helpful. I am so grateful and wish I can do more to show my appreciation! Thanks Again!

No stars whatsoever. As an architect working and licensed in multiple states, and as a former Assessor Employee(!!!), it is incredibly rare to come across an office that tells me on the telephone, "we don't want you to have this information", referencing online access! This is 2018, is it not? We are trying to limit the amount of automobiles on the freeway, the amount of combustibles/pollutants into our atmosphere, etc. and this department is working in the proverbial stone age while virtually every department I have ever worked with takes no issue with releasing all info except for the personal information concerning the property owners which is very easily concealed and rightfully so. Please Orange County Assessor, Mr. Claude Parrish and all of your staff, do those of us who reside in your jurisdiction and must utilize your services a huge favor; join the modern era!

Last week I stopped into the Orange County Assessor's Department to request some documents pertaining to a residence. The person that helped me is named "Rose" and I would like to say that she was very friendly and knowledgeable of her department. I would like to thank Rose, her co-workers and superiors for operating a very efficient office. Thank you again Rose. Luis Anthony Baez Cornerstone Builders and Restoration, Inc.

There is limited metered parking on Ross, however during construction alternate parking is recommended. There are multiple lots and metered parking available at the Old Orange County courthouse located at the corner of Civic Center and Broadway. Enter building 12 (630 North Broadway- Hall of records) and proceed through building to room 142.

Go to the accessors office in Santa Ana. They have computers to look that up.

Can I prepay Property taxes for next year which have not yet been billed? In an effort to take advantage of the new federal tax bill some counties allow prepayment while others do not, was is the position in Orange County?

Larry Sangiorgio | Aug 19, 2018

According to the Orange County Tax Assessor's office, up can not pre-pay property taxes not yet invoiced. Thus one can not pay taxes due November 2018 and February 2019 in advance as a Federal Income Tax savings strategy.
