Brunette lady is on the drugs? I had a very weird experience at this place. The brunette skinny lady on the window (owner?) was very weird and rude. I had a doordash order, money was taken, my name was there but she didn’t give my order, and when I surprised she yelled at me very rudely and she said “nothing I can do! Call doordash!” I tried to explain myself at the window and she acted like a brat and she ran inside the store. I was still there and trying to understand what’s happening and than she came and yelled me again. “I’m calling the police!!!” That was the weirdest night of my night. Luckily doordash gave me back my money but she was very rude and weird. I suspect she was on to drugs or something

first time trying Charlie’s. found the restaurant on uber eats but ended up ordering delivery directly through Charlie’s website. My order had a few mods and they were followed through perfectly. Delightfully crunchy yet soft bread, super fresh produce and meats. Cannoli was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I will definitely be coming back to Charlie’s whenever I visit Portland!

Old fashion place that is showing its years; could use a fresh coat of paint and some updates, but that's not why someone comes here! I ordered a Pastrami Reuben sandwich which was very good! I thought the bread was really good too; locally made and fresh. I ordered my sandwich with German potato salad which was done nicely. I saw locals enjoying this hidden jem and saw lots of take out too. Jukebox was playing some classic music but I thought it was a bit loud (I looked up to see i was right under the ceiling speaker). Great overall.. I'll be back!
