We went to this place because of the proximity to the airport and the free shuttle. The staff was very rude from start to finish. I initially called to see if they had a shuttle from the train station... "Take a cab" was the rude response. We arrived and the shuttle was "full" for all of the times part of our group needed. They only run it 2x per hour and it sits the other 20-25 minutes, and it only holds 7. When we were surprised at the inadequate shuttle service from a hotel that advertised a free shuttle the staff rudely said "you aren't the only people who need a shuttle." As a result our group had to get an Uber to the airport. Then when the breakfast was supposed to start at 6am, our group tried to access the room where it was being served only to be yelled at by staff that they weren't ready. So needing to leave at 6:15am, they had to leave without breakfast because they "Weren't ready" when they advertised. The Alex hotel down the street where we stayed earlier in the week ran their shuttle continuously 24/7 and it ran every 10 minutes when needed. The rooms are not quite as fancy but they aren't $400+ per night like the Comfort suites

Great location and close to everything we planned to do! The pool is a plus! The train is nearby and we didn't hear it. Float planes fly overhead which is neat to see. Only negative was that our microwave had an odd smell. But we barely used it.

We had a reservation from 5/28/22-6/1/22. The hotel and our room appeared clean upon checking in. When we returned back to our room after exploring some of Anchorage, we noticed that the bed was filthy. The sheets were covered in hair and dirt. I informed the front desk about this in person and they moved us to another room on the same floor. After checking the bed, we noticed that the sheets on the bed were blood stained. We then proceeded back to the front desk and demanded that they cancel our reservation and not charge us for their unclean rooms. They acted like they could not assist us and called their assistant general manager to intervene. After waiting for more than 45 minutes, they said we were free to leave the property and that the issue would be resolved tomorrow. I called Choice Hotels Customer Service multiple times and they could not assist me because the hotel had not checked us out yet despite that request and the request to cancel our reservation. My girlfriend and I booked a new reservation with a Marriott property nearby and never once received an apology or phone call from the assistant manager or general manager despite the pending charge eventually falling off. This hotel is outdated, old and the associates are not professional. Do yourself a favor and stay at a hotel that cares about cleanliness and their customers like nearby Springhill Suites.

This is where you want to stay if flying into or out of Anchorage. We got into Anchorage on a red eye flight(2:00 am). Shuttle picked us up promptly at the airport. Check in was friendly and easy. Plenty of local Restaurants deliver to hotel. Room was clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our shuttle back to the airport was also great!
