This location has it all. It's beautiful, has easy hikes that anyone can enjoy, wildlife, and plenty of variety. I'd consider it a perfect visit.

This is a wonderful hike! When you get to the trailhead, there are two options. You can go left up to Twin Lake or go right to Lake Solitude. I did Twin Lake first and then came back down and cut across over to Lake Solitude, which was a great plan. Twin Lake has a very steep rocky bit (it was almost harder going down than up in that section), and Lake Solitude was a really easy one (though I would note that the All Trials map takes you on an abandoned trail with a bunch of fallen trees, so don't follow that ). It was a beautiful morning and with going early, I beat the crowds (I was already heading down when people were starting). I enjoyed it and it was beautiful--a great escape into nature.

Great hike and I'm definitely out of shape but this was a nice one to do and took some breaks. Beautiful and worth the treck.

Fun hike, about 2 miles round trip, gorgeous views of the reservoir and Brighton area. Worth the extra effort beyond the leisurely Silver Lake trail.
