Two Dam Kayak Rentals

My family was at keystone today and we decided to rent boats. The kid with the long hair had an attitude as soon as we got there and were getting in our boats. We came back to the dock early and his mouth ran the whole time arguing with us. Never again. This is poor customer service. *We came back because I was sick, who said anything about switching? Switching what? Never assume. Leadership starts from the top.

Called Thursday before Saturday morning reservation and was guaranteed the Loyalhanna river trip would be good to go for Saturday despite all the rain. I let the gentleman I spoke with know I was coming from 2.5 hours away, he assured me if anything would happen to change they would call. When we arrived Saturday morning at 11:15 for the 11:30 reservation time we were told they were not running the Loyalhanna river trip due to water level but they were running the other river trip. The main reason I booked with this company was because they offer the Loyalhanna trip and I wanted to experience that river. Had I known it wouldn't have been available I would have reserved though saltsburg kayak. I had to pay three weeks in advance for the transport of two personal kayaks. Only to arrive the day of to be told the Loyalhanna was too high and we had to take the connemaugh dam trip. I feel as though the lack of notification was intentional as they already had my money. Had they called ahead of time I would have cancelled and they could have refunded my money as they had already had my money well over three weeks. I was still able to make a trip however the trip was 7.5 miles instead of 8.5 miles for the same price. The end of the trip landed at saltsburg kayak. Which they failed to mention there was no cell phone service. We had to walk up to Saltsburg kayak to ask them if there was a phone we could use to call for our ride. It took 40 minutes to get ahold of transpiration to get us back to our car. Had I been notified that the Loyalhanna trip was not available I would have cancelled my reservation, gone through Saltsburg Kayak and had none of these problems.

Drove almost an hour to experience this place and the two young kids said they're closed for the day. It's 2:30 pm on a Tuesday with it being 93 degrees out. If that was the case maybe you should close your doors and make your sign say closed and not open. Because of this experience I will not recommend and give one star. *EDIT-I apologize for the 1 star review. It was my fault for assuming and not checking out your website. Please disregard the negative review.
