CPS Service has been excellent but these days NOBODY answers the phone..... The NEW online signup does not send the shipping label in 24 hrs. 5 days later still nothing.... And it's sending my gear to VA? Crazy. Canon CPS "what are you doing?" I am a 8 year gold member. I do not often ask for help but when i need it......

I sent my camera lens in to get fixed. Wasn't even over 2 years old. Already getting ERROR messages on my camera. They tell me they will fix it for $300.00. Send an email saying it was fixed and they were sending it back. The email didn't even have a work order attached or what was wrong with my lens in the first place. Had to call to ask them what exactly they fixed for $300.00. Finally get my lens back, the box it came in was dented and they wrapped my $1500.00 retail lens with just butcher paper around it. It's not even bubble wrapped. Open the dented box not even fully unwrapping it from its packaging and notice that the lens cap is cracked and shoved inside the front part of my lens. It's jammed in there I can't even take the lens cap off to see if the lens itself is broken. They now want me to RESEND my lens (which i have a job this weekend that I need my lens for) and did not even offer to pay for packaging. I've already spent $75.00 on packaging the first time THE RIGHT way and another $300 to get the camera fixed and now they want me to spend ANOTHER $75.00 to send it back. What horrible service. I asked for the superior and they said they would have corporate call me back in 24-48 hours. Oh what, now I'm just supposed to sit on this broken lens for 2 days until you are available? What horrible horrible customer service representatives.

Yes that is correct, I tried bringing in mine as well and brought it in. I guess they stopped servicining that spped lite late laster year 😢
No. They don't take appointments. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, less for CPS service.
Youd have to drop by and fill out a service request form. I don't think they publicize their rates.
No, they're closed in the showroom still. You can still drop off gear for servicing though. 👍

Well, it'll cost more for the repair than getting a replacement, likely. See if you can trade in your camera somewhere like B&H and use the credit for a new camera. Otherwise, you'll need to recycle your camera at an E-waste center.

What exact problem do you face? I have a t6i, and iPhone 6. But i guess it may work similarly. Turn on the Wi-Fi in the camera, set up the Wi-Fi password (in camera). Then connect to that WiFi network from iPhone. There were some more options to select, but those are intutive.
I'm there now 10/30/17. Still open.
